Crown of Thorns is a Common Event from the Gospel Age, costing 2 faith and providing an extremely efficient two-part control effect. It deals 2 damage to a target enemy being and Humbles it, shutting down its abilities for the remainder of its presence on the field. When I think of that crown, I see more than pain. I see the King who humbled Himself to the point of death. He who deserved the worship of angels allowed the hands of men to twist branches into a weapon for His head. This was not weakness, it was power under control, the perfect picture of meekness.
