Dust to Devastation, A Plague Awakens
Grievous Locust is a Common Creep Being from the Torah Age, costing 2 faith with 2 strength and 1 hope, and featuring the powerful Zeal ability, which allows it to Challenge immediately when created. This makes it an aggressive early-game card perfect for initiating attacks and putting pressure on opponents right out of the gate.
The Swarm That Darkened Egypt
The locusts came like a living storm. Wings thundered, the shadows fell, and very green thing vanished under their hunger. This was no ordinary infestation, this was judgment. Egypt’s fields, once bursting with life, were stripped bare in moments. No vine, fig tree, or stalk of grain. The air was thick with their sound, the ground alive with their crawling. The Lord had drawn His line, and Pharaoh had hardened his heart. Each plague was a strike against the pride of Egypt, and the locusts were another blow in the march toward deliverance.
The people of Israel were untouched. Their land was preserved. Their homes still stood among the fields of ruin. The separation between Egypt and Goshen was a testimony, God Himself had marked His people. The judgment was real, but so was the protection. The covenant covered them. The promise held. Even the smallest insect was a messenger of the Lord’s will.
This card's verse is Exodus 10:14:
"And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such."
This plague was a sign, not only for Pharaoh, but for the ages to come. The day will come when the earth will again hear the sound of locust wings, yet far more grievous than Egypt ever knew. The prophets and the book of Revelation speak of a swarm that rises not from the fields, but from the abyss. And once again, God will mark His own.

The Swarm Yet to Come
When the trumpet sounds in the days of tribulation, the bottomless pit will open and the locusts will rise, creatures not of the soil, but of judgment. Their sting will bring torment for five months, and the earth will tremble. They will not touch the sealed. They will not harm the redeemed. The 144,000 of Israel will stand untouched, marked with the seal of the living God.
This is the same pattern we saw in Egypt, judgment and mercy walking together. Pharaoh’s pride broke under the weight of God’s power, and one day the kingdoms of this world will do the same. Jesus will reign from Jerusalem. His kingdom will be unshakable. The locusts will not outlast His light, and the pit will not outlast His throne.
Believer, your seal is not on your forehead, it is in your spirit. You are hidden in Christ. You are covered by His blood. You are preserved by His promise. No swarm from hell can touch your inheritance. No plague can undo your redemption. Your Deliverer has already broken the staff of the oppressor. Your future is secure in His reign. The earth may shake, the sky may darken, but you will stand in the kingdom that cannot be moved, forever.

Creep Synergy: Combines well with other Creep tribe Beings and cards that benefit from swarming or interacting with small, expendable units.
