The Bible Story Behind Babylonian Dragon
After Daniel exposed the deception surrounding Bel, the king directed him toward a great dragon worshiped by the people of Babylon. Unlike the lifeless idol, this creature moved, ate, and was alive. Babylonian Dragon presents a living beast receiving worship that belongs only to the Creator.
The king believed the dragon's life proved its divinity and challenged Daniel to worship it. Daniel refused because life, size, strength, and fearsome appearance can't make a created being into God. However impressive the dragon appeared, it remained a mortal creature dependent upon the Lord who had made every living thing.

Babylon's error wasn't simply that the people misunderstood the nature of one unusual animal. They exchanged the worship of the invisible God for devotion to something visible within creation. The dragon could consume offerings and inspire fear, but it couldn't create life, reveal truth, forgive sin, or preserve itself from death. Its worship showed how readily fallen mankind gives divine honor to created power while rejecting the God from whom all power comes.
Daniel asked permission to destroy the dragon without sword or staff. He prepared lumps of pitch, fat, and hair, placed them into its mouth, and caused the creature to burst apart. The death of Babylon's god exposed the foolishness of trusting something that could be destroyed through ordinary created materials.
The dragon may also remind readers of the greater dragon identified in Scripture as the Devil and Satan, though Babylon's animal shouldn't simply be treated as Satan himself. Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of that ancient enemy. Through His death upon the cross, He answered every accusation against sinners, and through His resurrection, He showed authority over death, devils, rulers, and every power within creation.

Babylonian Dragon is a massive comeback Being. Its printed Cost is extremely high, but it becomes less expensive as the Target Opponent moves closer to winning. Against an Opponent with many Bible Points, Babylonian Dragon can enter the Storyline for a manageable Cost and immediately become one of the largest threats in the Game.
Choose the Opponent for the Cost calculation before payment. Apply the point-based reduction together with all other Cost modifiers, then apply the minimum of 0. This is a Play-Cost Ability, not a Prophecy that waits in the Queue; payment doesn't interrupt a Game-ending Checkpoint that already ended the Game.

Comeback strategy: Babylonian Dragon becomes easier to Play when the Opponent is closer to reaching 20 points.
Control Decks: Slowing the Game and surviving early pressure gives the Opponent time to gain points while preparing your late-Game response.
