Genesis Set Card 208/250
Heathen Inheritance is a Rare Event from the Power Age, costing 1 Faith. It Returns a Faith Verse to your Hand, then deals 4 Damage to Target Enemy.
The Bible Story Behind Heathen Inheritance
Psalm 2 begins with the heathen raging and the kings of the earth setting themselves against the LORD and His Anointed. Their rebellion reaches its final expression when the beast and the armies of the world gather against Jesus Christ at Armageddon. Heathen Inheritance presents the Father granting the rebellious nations to His Son as His rightful earthly possession.
"Heathen" often refers to the Gentile nations rather than describing one particular race or country. The uttermost parts of the earth will no longer remain divided among rulers acting independently from God. Every territory, people, king, and government will be brought beneath the authority of the Messiah whom God has established upon Zion.
Psalm 2:8 — “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.”

The Father's promise guarantees that the Son's reign will extend far beyond Israel's borders. Jesus will govern the nations with a rod of iron, breaking every rebellious kingdom that refuses His authority while shepherding the surviving nations in righteousness. The world claimed by corrupt rulers and the Antichrist will become the visible possession of the true King.
Jesus first came to His inheritance in humility and was rejected by the rulers of this world. He allowed wicked hands to crucify Him, bore the sins of mankind, and rose again from the dead. The One who was mocked as King of the Jews will return openly as King of kings and receive the nations promised to Him by the Father.
During His thousand-year reign, Israel will dwell securely beneath her Messiah, the bride will reign beside her Bridegroom, resurrected servants and saints will receive their appointed authority, and earthly kings will govern their nations beneath Christ. These groups will retain their distinct places, but every throne and nation will answer to the Son reigning from Jerusalem.

Heathen Inheritance Bible TCG Strategy
Heathen Inheritance is a powerful low-Cost Damage Event with resource flexibility. Returning a Faith Verse to your Hand can help you recover a Verse from your Faith Area, while the 4 Damage can remove a Being or pressure an Opponent. Because it says Target Enemy, it can Target an Opponent or an Enemy Being. If it Damages an Opponent, you Gain Bible Points equal to the Damage that Opponent takes.
Returning Faith is a separate instruction, not an additional Cost or a condition on the Damage. If no Faith Verse is available at resolution, continue to the Damage sentence. Returning used Faith doesn't refund its spent Faith or undo this Event's payment.
Synergies
Faith Verse return: Heathen Inheritance Returns a Faith Verse to your Hand.
High Damage: Heathen Inheritance deals 4 Damage to Target Enemy.
Pray synergy: Since Heathen Inheritance is an Event that deals Damage, Beings with Pray can increase its Damage.

Questions and Answers
Q: Can Heathen Inheritance return one of the Faith Verses that helped pay its own 1 Faith Cost?
A: Yes. The Cost has already been paid before the Event resolves, so that Faith Verse can be a valid Verse to return afterward.
Q: Does Returning that Faith Verse undo the payment I already made?
A: No. The Cost was already paid. Returning the Verse afterward doesn't after the fact unpay the Event.
Q: If Imprisoned Dragon is active, how much Damage does Heathen Inheritance deal?
A: Pray +2 increases its 4 Damage to 6.
Q: Why might I return a high-value Verse from my Faith Area instead of a less important one?
A: Power's Faith-return mechanic can function as resource recovery, letting you reclaim a card you originally sacrificed to Faith because you now want access to its normal Verse effect.

Q: Can the temporary Faith from Praising Harp be returned by Heathen Inheritance?
A: No. Temporary Faith isn't a Faith Verse sitting in your Faith Area.
