Heavenly Protection is an Uncommon Event from the Power Age, costing 3 Faith. It Returns a Faith Verse to your Hand, then deals 3 Damage to all Enemy Beings.

The Bible Story Behind Heavenly Protection

At the end of Christ's thousand-year reign, Satan will be released from the bottomless pit for a little season. He will once again deceive the nations and gather an enormous multitude from the four quarters of the earth against Jerusalem. Heavenly Protection presents God defending the beloved city when mankind's final rebellion rises against the visible reign of Jesus Christ.

These nations will have lived beneath perfect government, abundant provision, and the open authority of the King. Yet many born during the millennium will never truly submit their hearts to Him and will follow Satan when he is released. Their rebellion will show that ideal circumstances can't change fallen mankind apart from genuine faith and the life that comes from God.

Revelation 20:9 — “And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.”

The armies will surround Jerusalem and the camp of the saints, but no prolonged battle will follow. Fire will descend directly from God and consume the rebels before they can overthrow the city or threaten Christ's throne. The final earthly uprising will end instantly, proving that no number of soldiers can resist the authority of the Lord who reigns from Zion.

Jerusalem's protection won't depend upon walls, weapons, or the bride defending Christ from danger. Jesus will already possess absolute sovereignty, and the rebellion will succeed only in revealing the hearts of those who willingly join it. The King will protect His saints and beloved city through divine power while bringing the last revolt of mortal humanity to its appointed end.

After the fire falls, Satan will be cast into the lake of fire and the Great White Throne judgment will begin. At the Great White Throne, earth and heaven flee from God's face; the judgment then concludes with death, hell, and the condemned cast into the lake of fire. Heavenly Protection therefore stands at the closing boundary between Christ's millennial kingdom and the eternal creation in which rebellion can never arise again.

Heavenly Protection Bible TCG Strategy

Heavenly Protection is a powerful Event that combines Faith Verse return with Enemy Storyline Damage. Returning a Faith Verse to your Hand gives resource flexibility, while dealing 3 Damage to all Enemy Beings can clear small Beings and weaken larger ones. Because it deals Damage to all Enemy Beings and doesn't Target, it can Damage Enemy Beings with Darkness.

Synergies

  • Faith Verse return: Heavenly Protection Returns a Faith Verse to your Hand.

  • Enemy Storyline Damage: Heavenly Protection deals 3 Damage to all Enemy Beings.

  • Pray synergy: Since Heavenly Protection is an Event that deals Damage, Beings with Pray can increase its Damage.

Questions and Answers

Q: Do I Roll a die to determine Heavenly Protection's Damage?

A: No. It deals a fixed 3 Damage to all Enemy Beings. Pray increases that Damage; Pray +2 makes it 5 Damage to each.

Q: Can I Return a Faith Verse already used to pay for the Event?

A: Yes. Returning it doesn't refund its spent Faith, and it doesn't undo the Event's completed payment. Losing your only matching Faith Verse can affect later Plays, which must independently meet their Faith requirements.

Q: What if I have no Faith Verse to return when that instruction resolves?

A: Skip that instruction and continue. The Damage is a separate sentence, not conditional on successfully Returning Faith.

Q: Does the Damage affect Enemy Beings with Darkness?

A: Yes. It affects all Enemy Beings without Targeting them. Resolve the Damage at the same time, applying Eternal before Anointing for each Being, then perform the Checkpoint.

Q: Can this Damage help the opposing Player?

A: Yes. Actual Damage can activate Patience or record Jonah's Draw trigger, and an Exile can record Resurrect. Those triggers wait until Heavenly Protection finishes and enters Exile, then follow the Queue. Consider those consequences when choosing a control Play.
