Genesis Set Card 225/250

Jesus, Prince Of Peace is a Holy Rare Lord Being from the Power Age, costing 7 Faith with 5 Strength, 7 Hope, 5 Reach, and 6 Move. He has Abundance and Anointing. During your Turn, He also has Eternal.

The Bible Story Behind Jesus, Prince Of Peace

Isaiah foretold a Child born to Israel and a Son given by God whose authority would extend far beyond every former king. This prophecy was fulfilled first when Jesus entered the world through the line of David, yet its governmental promise awaits His visible reign from Jerusalem. Jesus, Prince Of Peace presents the promised Messiah ruling the restored earth after His victory at Armageddon.

Unlike Israel's former kings, Jesus will possess perfect wisdom, complete righteousness, and unlimited authority. He is Wonderful in His person, the perfect Counselor, the mighty God revealed in flesh, the everlasting source and ruler of the coming age, and the Prince who establishes true peace. The government resting upon His shoulder will never be weakened by ignorance, corruption, fear, or death.

Isaiah 9:6 says: "[...] and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

These titles reveal that the promised Child is far more than an ordinary descendant of David. Jesus is truly man, born into Israel, yet He is also the mighty God with authority to establish an everlasting kingdom. The Prince of Peace can reconcile creation and govern the nations perfectly because the One seated upon David's throne is the eternal Son of God.

Jesus first made peace between God and believing sinners through the blood of His cross. He bore our sins, died, was buried, and rose again before returning in glory to remove the beast and his armies. The King who ends mankind's warfare at Armageddon is the same Saviour who first offered His enemies reconciliation by grace.

During His thousand-year reign, Israel will rest beneath her Messiah, the bride will reign beside her Bridegroom, resurrected servants and saints will live again, the 144,000 sealed Jews from every tribe will follow the lamb, the sons of Zadok will minister, and saved nations with their kings will inhabit the earth. Weapons will be turned toward peaceful labor, creation will flourish, and instruction will proceed from Zion. This ordered world will preserve each company's appointed identity while bringing every throne and nation beneath Jesus Christ.

Jesus, Prince Of Peace Bible TCG Strategy

Jesus, Prince Of Peace is a powerful late-Game Lord with strong protection and repeated Challenge pressure. Abundance lets Him Challenge twice, while Anointing lets Him ignore the first Damage He would take. During your Turn, Jesus has Eternal, meaning He can't take Damage during your Turn. This makes His Challenges especially strong on your Turn, because He can Challenge without taking Damage.

Synergies

  • Abundance Pressure: Jesus can Challenge twice.

  • Anointing Protection: Jesus ignores the first Damage He would take.

  • Eternal During Your Turn: During your Turn, Jesus can't take Damage.

Questions and Answers

Q: If Jesus Challenges twice during my Turn, does either Challenge normally use His Anointing?

A: No. Eternal prevents Him from taking Challenge Damage during your Turn, so there is no Damage for Anointing to ignore. His Anointing can remain unused.

Q: Why is that especially powerful when the Opponent's Turn begins?

A: Eternal is no longer active during the Opponent's Turn, but Jesus may still have His unused Anointing available to ignore the first Damage He would take.

Q: If Anointing ignores the first Damage on the Opponent's Turn, what happens to the second Damage instance?

A: Anointing has been used, so Jesus can take the later Damage normally.

Q: If Jesus took Damage during the Opponent's Turn, does Gaining Eternal again on your next Turn remove that Damage?

A: No. Eternal prevents new Damage during your Turn; it doesn't Restore Damage already on Jesus.

Q: What happens if Jesus is Humbled during your Turn?

A: Abundance and Anointing are Canceled, and His Eternal-during-your-Turn Ability is also Canceled. He can then take Damage normally and loses permission for the extra Challenge unless another effect provides it.
