Genesis Set Card 1/250
Praising Harp is a Holy Rare Event from the Stars Age, costing 0 Faith and Giving you 2 generic temporary Faith this Turn only. This makes it an essential resource booster, allowing you to make stronger Plays earlier than expected.
The Bible Story Behind Praising Harp
Praising Harp uses the heavenly harp as an image of celebration after the Redeemer's victory. Within the story of the stars, the instrument gives a joyful answer to the conflict and suffering represented by the surrounding cards. The One who came to save wouldn't remain in the grave; His triumph would become a reason for praise.
Psalm 33 supplies the card's scriptural setting. It calls the righteous to rejoice in the Lord, celebrates the truth of His word, and directs attention toward His works and faithfulness. The harp belongs first to that song of worship. Its place in the heavenly story carries that praise into celebrating the Redeemer's victory.
Psalm 33:2 says: "Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings."
Scripture uses the harp throughout to accompany thanksgiving, rejoicing, and worship before the Lord. It wasn't merely an instrument for human entertainment, but a fitting sound for hearts responding to the goodness, faithfulness, and mighty works of God. Placed within the Stars Age, the harp represents creation answering God's victory with joyful, reverent praise.
That victory belongs fully to Jesus Christ. He bore our sins upon the cross, entered the grave, and rose again on the third day, just as the Scriptures foretold. Death couldn't hold the sinless Son of God. His resurrection declared that the sacrifice had been accepted, that sin had been answered, and that Jesus Christ had conquered death forever.
The church praises Him from a position of grace. We don't worship to earn righteousness, preserve our salvation, or place ourselves back beneath the law. Christ is our righteousness, and His finished work is already complete. We sing because we've been forgiven, justified, sealed by the Holy Ghost, and joined to the risen Lord who now sits at the right hand of God.

Questions and Answers
Q: Praising Harp costs 0 Faith. Do I still need a Stars Age Faith Verse before I can Play it?
A: Yes. Like every 0-Cost Verse, Praising Harp still requires at least one Stars Age Faith Verse to be present in your Faith Area. That Faith Verse may already be used because you don't actually use Faith to pay a 0 Cost.
Q: Can Praising Harp's 2 generic Faith satisfy the Age requirement for another Verse by itself?
A: No. The temporary Faith gives you additional Faith to spend, but it's not a Faith Verse and doesn't have an Age. If the Verse you want to Play costs 1 or more, you still need to use at least one Faith Verse matching that Verse's Age as part of the payment.
Q: What happens if I Play two Praising Harps during the same Turn?
A: You Gain 4 temporary Faith for that Turn. The effects stack, allowing a prepared combo Turn to exceed the amount of Faith normally available from your Faith Area.
Q: Why might I save Praising Harp instead of Playing it immediately?
A: Its greatest value often comes when the extra 2 Faith unlocks an entire sequence rather than just one slightly earlier Play. A Stars Power combo Deck, for example, may save Praising Harp until it can combine the temporary Faith with several Events and Faith-Return effects during the same Turn.
Q: What happens to temporary Faith from Praising Harp if I don't spend it?
A: It disappears when the Turn ends. It never becomes a Faith Verse and can't be carried into your next Turn.
