Genesis Set Card 238/250
Adorned Horse is an Uncommon Spirit Being from the Apocrypha, costing 3 Faith with 1 Strength, 5 Hope, 2 Reach, and 4 Move. Whenever an Opponent Draws a Verse, Exile two Verses from the top of their Bible.
The Bible Story Behind Adorned Horse
Seleucus, king of Asia, sent Heliodorus to Jerusalem after hearing that great wealth was stored within the temple treasury. Although the money included deposits belonging to widows and orphans, Heliodorus entered the sanctuary intending to seize it for the king. Adorned Horse presents the terrifying heavenly intervention that stopped him from carrying away what had been entrusted to the holy place.
The priests and people cried to God while Heliodorus advanced with his guards. Suddenly, a magnificently adorned horse appeared with a fearsome rider and charged violently toward him. The horse struck Heliodorus with its forefeet, while two glorious young men scourged him until he fell helplessly to the ground. The official who entered Jerusalem displaying royal power was immediately humbled by power from heaven.
2 Maccabees 3:25 — “For there appeared vnto them an horse, with a terrible rider vpon him, and adorned with a very fair couering, and he ranne fiercely, [...]”

The horse's beautiful covering didn't make the vision gentle or harmless. Its splendor revealed that the rider came with heavenly authority, while its fierce charge expressed judgment against the invading officer. Heliodorus had believed that an earthly king's command entitled him to enter the treasury, but the apparition showed that no royal decree could place him beyond the reach of the God of Israel.
Heliodorus survived only after the high priest offered sacrifice and prayed for his recovery. He returned to the king bearing testimony concerning the greatness of God rather than carrying the treasure he had been sent to steal. The Lord transformed an attempted robbery into a public warning that His sanctuary couldn't be treated as common property without consequence.
The temple belonged to Israel's appointed worship, while the church's security rests in a greater sanctuary. Jesus identified His own body as the temple, allowed wicked rulers to destroy it upon the cross, and raised it again on the third day. His apparent surrender accomplished a greater victory than the prevention of any earthly theft.

Adorned Horse Bible TCG Strategy
Adorned Horse turns every opposing Draw into additional Bible pressure. This includes the Opponent's normal Draw Step and Draws caused by other Verses. With 5 Hope and 4 Move, Adorned Horse can be difficult to remove and can reposition away from dangerous Challenges. Protecting it can allow its Ability to Exile a large portion of an Opponent's Bible.
Synergies
Forced Draw strategy: Effects that make the Opponent Draw create additional Bible pressure.
Long-term control: Slowing the Game gives the Opponent more Draw Steps, allowing Adorned Horse to activate repeatedly.
Draw chain pressure: Multiple Draws during one Ability cause Adorned Horse to activate once for each Verse Drawn.
Questions and Answers
Q: Does Adorned Horse interrupt an instruction to Draw two Verses?
A: No. Complete the instruction to Draw both Verses and finish the current Ability before resolving pending triggers. Each successful Draw records a separate Horse trigger.
Q: What happens after an Opponent Draws two Verses?
A: One Horse records two triggers. When each resolves, Exile up to two Verses from that Opponent's Bible, for up to four total. These are separate Queue items; existing earlier items resolve first.
Q: What if fewer than two Verses remain when a Horse trigger resolves?
A: Exile all that remain. Exiling from an empty Bible does nothing; it's not a failed Draw and doesn't itself cause a loss.
Q: What if the Opponent fails a required Draw before the Horse triggers resolve?
A: The failed Draw is checked after the current resolution step. If that Checkpoint ends the Game, pending Horse triggers don't resolve. A failed Draw records no successful-Draw trigger.
Q: What happens with multiple Horses or Uriel triggers?
A: Record each applicable trigger, using Controller and Slot order only to order triggers Created at the same time. New triggers join the back of the Queue; they don't jump ahead of items already waiting.
