The Bible Story Behind Babylon, Mystery Harlot
Revelation 17 shows a woman seated upon a scarlet beast, clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold, precious stones, and pearls. She appears wealthy and glorious, yet she holds a golden cup filled with abominations and spiritual corruption. Babylon, Mystery Harlot presents the powerful religious and political system that will intoxicate the nations during the wrath Age.
The woman sits upon many waters, which Revelation identifies as peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. The kings of the earth join themselves to her, while the inhabitants of the world become drunk through her false worship and influence. Her beauty conceals a murderous system that opposes God, deceives rulers, and sheds the blood of His servants and saints.
Revelation 17:5 — “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
Her written name reveals the true identity hidden beneath her magnificent appearance. Babylon's rebellion began upon the plain of Shinar, where mankind sought unity, glory, and religious power apart from God, and that rebellious pattern will reach its final expression before Christ returns. The mystery harlot will gather the world's counterfeit worship into one corrupt system centered upon opposition to the true King.
Although the woman rides the beast for a time, the alliance won't endure. The beast and the ten kings will eventually hate the harlot, strip away her riches, destroy her power, and burn her with fire. God will use the very rulers who supported Babylon to execute His appointed judgment against her corruption.
Babylon is charged with the blood of saints and witnesses, and Revelation 18 reaches broadly to prophets, saints, and those slain upon the earth. That accusation shouldn't be confined to deaths within the final seven years. Her destruction brings the accumulated charge of persecution before the judgment of God and prepares the scene for the triumph of the Lamb.

Complete the Prophecy and the Queue before using her Zeal to Challenge.

Q: Can I Play Babylon as the only Verse in my Hand?
A: Yes. Her Prophecy is an instruction, not a Play Cost. If your Hand is empty when it resolves, Exile nothing.
Q: What if only one Verse remains in my Hand when Prophecy resolves?
A: Exile that one Verse. Select and Exile as many as possible, up to two; you can't decline the instruction just because fewer than two are available.
Q: Can Babylon Challenge before her Prophecy resolves because she has Zeal?
A: No. Resolve the pending Queue and its Checkpoints before taking another normal action. Zeal permits a newly Created Being to Challenge once actions resume; it doesn't interrupt the Queue or bypass Fear.
Q: Does Exiling Being Verses from Hand trigger Resurrect?
A: No. They were not Exiled from the Storyline. Other Abilities apply only if their trigger conditions include this event.
Q: Does Humbling Babylon after her Prophecy is recorded cancel the Hand Exile?
A: No. A recorded trigger remains queued independently of its source. Humble cancels her Abilities, including Zeal, but doesn't erase that pending Prophecy.
