The Bible Story Behind Elias, Severe Drought
Elias stands beside Moses in Bible TCG's identification of Revelation's two witnesses. Their first-half ministry lasts a thousand two hundred and threescore days. The power to shut heaven recalls Elias's earlier drought, while the power over water and plagues recalls Moses. These connections explain the game's identification without claiming that Revelation explicitly supplies their names.
Elias once stood before Ahab and declared that no rain would fall except according to his word. His drought exposed the powerlessness of Baal and showed that the God of Israel alone controlled the heavens. During the wrath Age, Elias will again shut heaven as a public testimony against idolatry, rebellion, and the counterfeit ruler followed by the nations.

The drought will continue throughout the thousand two hundred and threescore days of the witnesses' prophetic ministry. This won't be an ordinary weather pattern, but a literal judgment carried out through authority given by God. Every day without rain will proclaim that creation answers to the Lord rather than to the beast, his government, or the false gods of mankind.
Elias's earlier ministry called Israel away from Baal. In Bible TCG's future account, he again warns Israel against idolatry and the false ruler, testifying to Jesus as the rightful Messiah. The witnesses' setting and demanded endurance belong to that future period; the church's present acceptance remains entirely through faith in Christ's finished work.
When the witnesses complete their testimony, the beast will be permitted to kill them in Jerusalem. The world will celebrate, but after three and a half days God will raise them from the dead and call them into heaven. Their resurrection will prove that the beast can't silence God's Word and will warn the nations that Christ's return at Armageddon is rapidly approaching.
