Genesis Set Card 210/250

Bright Angel is an Uncommon Spirit Being from the Power Age, costing 2 Faith with 3 Strength, 4 Hope, 2 Reach, and 3 Move. Its Prophecy Ability Returns a Faith Verse to your Hand.

The Bible Story Behind Bright Angel

Just before Armageddon, John sees an angel standing in the sun and crying with a loud voice to the fowls flying through heaven. The angel's brilliant position makes his announcement visible and authoritative before the approaching armies. Bright Angel presents a heavenly messenger proclaiming the certain destruction of every force gathered against Jesus Christ.

The angel invites the birds to "the supper of the great God," where they'll consume the flesh of kings, captains, mighty men, horses, and soldiers. This isn't the marriage supper of the Lamb or a joyful banquet for the redeemed. It's a feast of judgment prepared from the bodies of those who unite beneath the beast and attempt to make war against the returning King.

Revelation 19:17 — “And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;”

The invitation is announced before the armies are destroyed, showing the absolute certainty of Christ's victory. heaven doesn't wait to discover the outcome of the battle, because the beast, the kings, and their armies can't resist the Word of God. The birds are summoned in advance because divine judgment has already determined the end of every rebel assembled at Armageddon.

The returning King is the same Jesus Christ who fulfilled the law, bore our sins, shed His blood, died, was buried, and rose again so that everyone who believes receives righteousness and everlasting life freely by grace. He will descend as Faithful and True, wearing many crowns and judging in righteousness, while His glorified church follows Him and the victory belongs entirely to Him.

The beast and false prophet will be taken and cast alive into the lake of fire, while their armies fall before the returning Lord. After this judgment, satan will be bound and Christ will establish His thousand-year reign from Jerusalem. Israel will dwell beneath her Messiah, resurrected saints and servants will receive life and authority, the sons of Zadok will minister, and the surviving nations will enter a world governed by the Prince of Peace.
