Genesis Set Card 92/250
Caleb, Receiving Land is a Common Soldier Being from the Torah Age, costing 4 Faith with 2 Strength, 4 Hope, 5 Reach, and 2 Move. He has Zeal, allowing him to Challenge immediately.
The Bible Story Behind Caleb, Receiving Land
Caleb was one of the twelve men sent to search the land of Canaan. Like the other spies, he saw fortified cities, powerful inhabitants, and the sons of Anak. Yet Caleb refused to judge the promise by the size of the opposition. He believed that the LORD who had delivered Israel from Egypt was able to give them the land He had promised.
While ten spies spread fear throughout the congregation, Caleb stood with Joshua and urged the people to trust God. Israel rejected their testimony and refused to enter, bringing forty years of wandering upon that generation. Caleb, Receiving Land therefore presents a faithful servant whose inheritance was delayed by the unbelief of others but never canceled by God.
Numbers 14:24 — “But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.”

Caleb's different spirit was revealed through faithfulness when nearly the entire congregation opposed him. The LORD preserved him throughout the wilderness and later brought him into Canaan. At eighty-five years old, Caleb still asked for the mountain containing the giants, confident that the God who had promised the inheritance would also give him strength to possess it.
Caleb's confidence points us toward Jesus Christ, who trusted and obeyed the Father perfectly. Where Israel drew back through unbelief, Jesus continued faithfully to death. He faced the cross, bore our sins, and fulfilled the law so that the inheritance lost through human failure could be freely given through His obedience.
Caleb received a portion within Israel's earthly land, but Jesus Christ is the appointed Heir of all things. By faith in the gospel, the church receives everything Christ has secured for His body and bride, including all spiritual blessings and an incorruptible inheritance in Him. When Israel receives Jesus as her Messiah at His second coming, the nation will enjoy the promised land and kingdom beneath her King.

Questions and Answers
Q: Can Caleb use Declared Unclean and Zeal together?
A: Yes. Give Caleb Unclean after Creating him, then use Zeal to Challenge immediately. Any Being Caleb successfully Damages is Exiled by Unclean.
Q: Can Caleb Challenge a Darkness Being that hasn't Interacted?
A: No. His 5 Reach may reach the position, but Reach doesn't override Targeting restrictions. The Being still isn't a legal Challenge Target.
Q: Can Protect stop Caleb even though he has 5 Reach?
A: Yes. Reach determines what Caleb can reach; Protect is a separate rule that can make an adjacent Being unavailable to Challenge.
Q: Can Caleb Move first and then use Zeal?
A: No. Zeal grants an immediate Challenge, not permission to Move immediately and then Challenge.
Q: If Caleb's lane is open, can he use Zeal to Challenge the Opponent directly?
A: Yes, provided the Opponent is a legal Target and the normal Reach and Blocking requirements for a direct Challenge are satisfied.
