Genesis Set Card 192/250

The Bible Story Behind Deceiver, False Prophet
During the final half of Daniel's seventieth week, another beast will arise and direct the world toward worship of the Antichrist. Revelation later identifies this second beast as the false prophet. Deceiver, False Prophet presents the religious enforcer of Satan's final kingdom, using supernatural signs to persuade mankind that the beast deserves divine honor.
He will appear lamb-like while speaking as a dragon, combining an outward appearance of gentleness with words inspired by Satan. His authority will support the first beast rather than compete with him. Through deception, wonders, and economic pressure, he will transform political submission into worldwide religious worship.
Revelation 13:13 — “And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,”

Calling fire down from heaven will imitate earlier signs connected with true servants of God, especially Elias. Yet the wonder's source and purpose will be entirely corrupt, for it will direct people away from the Creator and toward the beast. The miracle will be real enough to deceive the earth, proving that supernatural power by itself is never a reliable test of truth.
The false prophet will command mankind to make an image of the beast and will be permitted to give life to that image. Those who refuse to worship it will be threatened with death, while those who submit will receive the beast's mark. His signs, image, and mark will form a counterfeit religion built around the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet.
The saints resisting this system won't be the church, because the bride will already be beside Christ. They'll live during the wrath Age and face the terrible choice between temporary survival and faithfulness to Jesus. Although the false prophet will appear victorious for a brief time, his authority will end instantly when Christ returns at Armageddon.

Questions and Answers
Q: What happens if Jonah, Sent To Gentiles is one of my other Beings when Deceiver is Created?
A: When Deceiver's queued Prophecy deals Damage, Jonah records one Draw if he actually takes that Damage, including lethal Damage. Finish the Prophecy and its Checkpoint before the Draw reaches its place in the Queue.

A: Yes. Its Prophecy Damages your other Friendly Beings too, so survivors can become damaged and activate Patience.
Q: What happens to several Beings with unused Anointing?
A: Each Being's own Anointing can independently ignore its first Damage instance from Deceiver, using those Anointings.
Q: If Deceiver's 1 Damage Exiles Left Behind Sinner, what happens?
A: Left Behind Sinner's Resurrect can deal an additional 1 Damage to all Players.
Q: Does Pray increase Deceiver's Prophecy Damage?
A: No. Deceiver is a Being, so its Prophecy Damage isn't Event Damage.
