Updated: Sep 28
Genesis Set Card 25/250
Dragon From The North is a Holy Rare Dragon Being from the Stars Age, costing 7 Faith with 8 Strength, 8 Hope, 4 Reach, and 4 Move. Its Prophecy Ability Exiles all Verses from your Hand, then Exiles all other Beings.
The Bible Story Behind Dragon From The North
Dragon From The North uses the northern dragon in the heavenly story to recall the adversary's downfall. The scriptural reference comes from Revelation 12, where satan is expelled from heaven after war with Michael and his angels. Heaven rejoices, while the earth is warned of the fury accompanying his descent.
Within the prophetic timeline followed in this guide, that expulsion occurs during the Wrath Age. Christ's cross and resurrection have already secured the decisive victory, but the heavenly battle, satan's confinement, and his final judgment remain distinct stages. The card connects the dragon's image with his coming humiliation rather than assigning every stage of his defeat to the cross.
Revelation 12:12 says: "[...] Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."
The dragon's wrath increases because he knows that his opportunity is passing away. When he is cast down to the earth, he shall deceive the nations and persecute those connected to the purpose of God. Yet his fury doesn't reveal strength, but desperation. The enemy rages because he knows that the sentence against him can't be reversed.
Jesus defeated the dragon through the very death satan sought to use against Him. The sinless Son of God took part of flesh and blood, bore our sins upon the cross, and rose again from the grave. Through death, Christ destroyed him that had the power of death, turning the serpent's greatest weapon into the means of his own overthrow.
The church stands in the victory of the risen Christ. The law revealed our guilt, but Jesus fulfilled it and bore its curse in our stead. Satan may accuse, but he can't condemn those whom God has justified. We're washed in the blood of Christ, sealed by the Holy Ghost, and kept beneath the grace of our victorious Head.
Dragon From The North Bible TCG Strategy
Dragon From The North is one of the most dramatic reset Beings in the Genesis Set. When it's Created, you lose every Verse in your Hand, but every other Being on the Storyline is Exiled. This makes Dragon From The North powerful when your Hand is already low or when the Storyline is filled with Enemy threats. After the reset, Dragon From The North remains as a massive 8 Strength and 8 Hope threat. Complete the Prophecy's sentences and their Checks before resolving the triggers they generate. Mass Exile happens at the same time; the resulting Resurrect triggers then resolve individually in Queue order.

Q: In what order does Dragon From The North's Prophecy Ability happen?
A: Follow the Ability in order. First, Exile all Verses from your Hand. Then, Exile all other Beings.

A: No. Dragon From The North Exiles all other Beings without Targeting them. Darkness prevents Targeting by any Player before the Being Interacts.
Q: Can Eternal or Anointing save another Being from the reset?
A: No. Dragon From The North directly Exiles the Beings rather than dealing Damage.
Q: What happens to Resurrect Abilities on Beings Exiled by Dragon From The North?
A: Those Beings are Exiled from the Storyline, so their active Resurrect Abilities can trigger. If several Beings are Exiled together, they leave at the same time and their resulting triggers resolve afterward.
Q: What happens if one of my Beings Exiled by Dragon From The North is Good Shepherd?
A: Good Shepherd's Resurrect can trigger after the mass Exile. Dragon From The North remains on the Storyline because it Exiles all other Beings, so Good Shepherd can Give Dragon From The North +2 Strength and +2 Hope when the Resurrect Ability resolves.
