The Bible Story Behind Holy Festival
The LORD established appointed feasts for the children of Israel and commanded them to gather at specific times throughout the year. These weren't celebrations invented by the nation, but holy convocations ordered according to God's calendar. Each feast reminded Israel of His works, His covenant, and their dependence upon Him.
Passover remembered deliverance from Egypt, Unleavened Bread recalled their hurried departure, and Firstfruits acknowledged that the harvest belonged to the LORD. Pentecost celebrated the completed grain harvest, while Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles shaped Israel's worship later in the year. Holy Festival therefore presents a nation repeatedly called together to remember, worship, sacrifice, and rejoice before God.
Leviticus 23:4 — “These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.”
The feasts belonged to the LORD, and Israel was responsible to proclaim them in their appointed seasons. Their dates, sacrifices, rest days, and gatherings were governed by His word rather than human preference. Together, they formed a prophetic calendar filled with shadows that prepared Israel for the Messiah and the future fulfillment of God's promises.
Jesus Christ gives meaning to everything the feasts anticipated. He died as our Passover, was buried without corruption, and rose as the firstfruits from the dead. After His ascension, the Holy Ghost was poured out at Pentecost upon the believers in Jerusalem, while the apostolic letters later revealed the mystery of believing Jews and Gentiles baptized by one Spirit into one body through the gospel of grace.
The later feasts point toward promises fulfilled in Jesus Christ. By faith in the gospel, the church receives everything Christ has secured for His body and bride, including all spiritual blessings and a joint inheritance with Him. When Israel receives Jesus as her Messiah at His second coming, the nation will enjoy the promised restoration, land, kingdom, and covenant blessings beneath her King.

Holy Festival is a flexible Event that can Target either a Friendly Being or an Enemy Being. You can use it defensively to save one of your own Beings, offensively to remove an Enemy Being from the Storyline, or strategically to reuse a Prophecy Ability later. After Returning the Target Being to its Owner's Hand, Holy Festival also lets you Draw a Verse, helping replace itself in your Hand.

Q: Can Holy Festival Return an Enemy Being with Darkness before it Interacts?
A: No Player can Target a Being while its Darkness is active, even its Controller. If Holy Festival has no legal Being to return, skip that sentence and still Draw from the independent next sentence, provided the Game continues.
Q: Does Returning a Being with Resurrect trigger its Resurrect Ability?
A: No. Resurrect specifically requires Exile from the Storyline.
Q: What happens if Holy Festival Returns a Token?
A: The Token returns to the Out of Game Zone instead of going to its Owner's Hand.
Q: What happens if I control Royal Elephant when Holy Festival lets me Draw?
A: Royal Elephant can activate from that Draw and Exile four Verses from the top of Target Opponent's Bible.
Q: Can Returning an Enemy Being with Prophecy actually help my Opponent later?
A: Yes. Holy Festival removes that Being from the Storyline now, but its Owner can Play and Create it again later, allowing its Prophecy to trigger again. Make sure the immediate tempo advantage is worth giving them that future reuse.
