The Bible Story Behind Lake Of Fire
After Christ's thousand-year reign, Satan will be released and deceive the nations one final time. Fire from God will destroy the armies surrounding Jerusalem, Satan will be cast into the lake of fire, and the Great White Throne judgment will begin. Lake Of Fire presents the everlasting judgment that follows the complete conclusion of mankind's earthly rebellion.
The lake of fire isn't another name for physical death, the grave, or a temporary period of correction. Revelation describes it as the second death and the final destination of the devil, the beast, the false prophet, death, hell, and every condemned sinner. Once this judgment is pronounced, there will be no escape, further opportunity, or future uprising against God.
Revelation 20:15 — “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
The condemned will be judged according to their works, yet none will be justified by those works because every life will reveal sin before the holiness of God. The decisive distinction will be whether a person's name is found written in the book of life. Those who rejected God's salvation will stand upon their own record and receive the righteous consequence of remaining outside the life provided through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ first came into the world to save sinners from this condemnation. Upon the cross, He bore our sins, suffered death, was buried, and rose again so that righteousness and everlasting life could be received freely through faith. Everyone who trusts His finished work is delivered from condemnation because the judgment their sins deserved has already fallen upon the Savior.
Revelation places the flight of the present earth and heaven at the appearance of the Great White Throne, before the final sentencing described here. John then sees the new heaven and new earth. That order keeps the throne, the lake of fire, and the new creation distinct while showing the permanent conclusion of death and rebellion.

Lake Of Fire is a complete Storyline Reset with a major Hand Cost. First, you Exile all Verses from your Hand. Then, you Exile all Beings. This can be powerful when the Opponent has a stronger Storyline than you, or when you need to clear every Being from the Storyline. However, losing all Verses from your Hand is a serious Cost, so Lake Of Fire should be used carefully.
Any Exile from Hand is an instruction to perform as far as possible, not a requirement to hold extra cards before Playing the Event. Pending triggers recorded before the mass Exile remain queued even if their sources leave.
