The Bible Story Behind Unmerited Rest
Israel's history has included discipline, scattering, unbelief, and long waiting for the fulfillment of promises spoken through the prophets. Yet God hasn't rejected the nation or transferred her covenants to another people. Unmerited Rest presents Israel entering the salvation and peace promised when her Deliverer comes out of Sion.
At the return of Jesus Christ, the surviving remnant of Israel will behold the Messiah whom the nation once rejected. The Lord will remove ungodliness from Jacob, forgive their sins, and establish them securely within the land promised to their fathers. Israel's restoration will rest upon God's mercy and covenant faithfulness rather than upon the nation earning another opportunity through works.
Romans 11:26 — “And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:”
"All Israel" doesn't mean that every Jewish person from every generation was automatically saved apart from faith. Paul describes the future national deliverance of the believing remnant alive when Christ returns and completes His purpose for Jacob. The Deliverer Himself will accomplish what human religion, national strength, and obedience to the law could never produce.
Jesus Christ secured the foundation of this salvation through His death, burial, and resurrection. The One who returns from Sion as Israel's Deliverer is the same Savior whose blood provides forgiveness for every believing sinner. Israel's future rest will therefore be unmerited, flowing from the finished work of Christ and the faithfulness of God to His promises.
During the thousand-year kingdom, Israel will dwell in peace beneath her Messiah while the church reigns with Jesus Christ as His body and bride. By faith in the gospel, the church receives everything Christ has secured for her, while Israel will enjoy her promised blessings after receiving Him as Messiah at His second coming. Every inheritance and position rests entirely beneath Jesus Christ, the appointed Heir and King over all.

Unmerited Rest gives a Friendly Being the Ability to Challenge twice. This can turn a strong Being into a major Storyline threat, especially if it already has high Strength or an Ability that triggers when it Challenges. Because no duration is given, the Abundance stays unless another effect removes it.

A: Yes. If it has only Challenged once, gaining Abundance can give it permission for a second Challenge that Turn.
Q: What if the Being already has Abundance?
A: Giving it Abundance again doesn't create a third Challenge.
Q: Does Unmerited Rest let a newly Created Being Challenge immediately?
A: No. Abundance allows two Challenges, but it doesn't grant Zeal or otherwise bypass the normal timing for a newly Created Being.
Q: Can I give Unmerited Rest to a Being with a Challenge-triggered Ability?
A: Yes. That's one of its strongest uses because two Challenges can produce two activations of that Ability.
Q: What happens if the receiver is Humbled?
A: The Abundance directly granted by Unmerited Rest is canceled.
