Genesis Set Card 13/250
Light In The Darkness is a Common Event from the Stars Age, costing 3 Faith. It Gives all Friendly Beings +2 Strength this Turn only.
The Bible Story Behind Light In The Darkness
Light In The Darkness uses heavenly light to introduce the promise of illumination in a world overshadowed by death. Its reference comes from Isaiah 9, where the hope of light stands beside the promise of the child upon whose shoulder the government will rest. Matthew 4:12-16 later applies the light prophecy to Jesus' ministry in Galilee.
Within Bible TCG's Stars imagery, the movement from darkness to light recalls the revelation of the Redeemer. The connection is grounded in Scripture's own use of Isaiah's promise. The card invites the reader to follow that connection from prophecy into the words and works of Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 9:2 — “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”

Darkness in Scripture often represents ignorance, sin, judgment, and separation from the truth of God. Light reveals what darkness conceals and makes the path visible to those who couldn't find it themselves. This sign therefore presents divine truth entering a world that could never enlighten or rescue itself.
Jesus is the great Light promised to those dwelling beneath the shadow of death. He entered a world darkened by sin and revealed the Father through His words, His works, and His perfect life. At the cross, He entered the deepest darkness on our behalf, and through His resurrection the Light of life arose in victory over death.
The law exposes the darkness within mankind, but it can't create light in the heart. The church has received something greater through Jesus Christ. God has shined the knowledge of His glory into our hearts, and every believer has been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son.
