The Bible Story Behind Lord's Promise
Abram had received great promises from God, yet he remained without the son through whom those promises would continue. The LORD brought him outside beneath the night sky and directed his eyes toward the multitude of stars spread across the heavens. What Abram couldn't number, God used as a picture of the descendants He would surely provide.
The promise appeared impossible according to Abram's Age and present circumstances. He could see no heir within his household, but God saw generations yet unborn, the nation of Israel, and the unfolding line through which the promised Messiah would come. Lord's Promise therefore reveals the certainty of God's word before any visible evidence of its fulfillment appeared.
Genesis 15:5 — “And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.”
Abram could neither produce the promised seed through his own strength nor count the fullness of what God intended to accomplish. He simply believed the LORD, and his faith was counted to him for righteousness. The stars became a witness that God can fulfill promises far greater than man can measure or accomplish.
The line of Abraham continued through Isaac and Jacob until Jesus Christ came into the world. He is the promised seed through whom the blessing of Abraham reaches the nations. Christ fulfilled the law, bore its curse upon the cross, and rose again so that the blessing promised through Abraham might come upon believing Gentiles through faith.
Jesus Christ is the promised seed and appointed Heir in whom every promise of God finds its certainty and fulfillment. Believing Jews and Gentiles are made one body in Him and receive righteousness and every spiritual blessing only through Him. Israel will enjoy the land and kingdom promised to the fathers when Jesus Christ, her King, fulfills those promises beneath His righteous reign.
Lord's Promise Bible TCG Strategy
Lord's Promise is a simple and powerful resource Event. Drawing two Verses helps refill your Hand, find important Plays, and keep your strategy moving. It's especially useful in Decks that want to reach key combo pieces, find answers, or maintain card advantage during the middle of the Game. Draw both Verses before resolving any Draw triggers. Assuming both Draws succeed and there are no other Hand changes, the Event leaving Hand makes the net Hand increase one.

Q: If I control Royal Elephant, how many times can Lord's Promise activate it?
A: Twice. You Draw two separate Verses, so Royal Elephant can activate once for each Draw.
Q: If Caiaphas, High Priest is on my Storyline when I Play Lord's Promise, how many Verses can I Draw from the overall Play?
A: Caiaphas can let you Draw one Verse because you Played an Event, and Lord's Promise Draws two more, giving you three Draws in total if they all resolve.
Q: What happens if I have only one Verse remaining in my Bible when Lord's Promise resolves?
A: You Draw that Verse first. When you then need to Draw the second Verse from an empty Bible, you lose the Game.
Q: Does Playing Lord's Promise increase Eager Bird's Strength even though Lord's Promise deals no Damage?
A: Yes. Eager Bird cares that you Played an Event, not what that Event does.
Q: If Raphael is active and Lord's Promise was my one Verse Played from Hand this Turn, can I Play either of the two Verses I Draw?
A: Not from your Hand during that Turn. Drawing additional Verses doesn't increase Raphael's one-from-Hand limit.
