The Bible Story Behind Moses, Law Of God
Moses ascended Mount Sinai and received the commandments of the covenant God established with Israel. The first tables of stone were written by the finger of God, declaring His perfect standard of righteousness and the responsibilities of the nation He had redeemed from Egypt. Yet before Moses returned, Israel had already turned aside and worshiped the golden calf.
When Moses saw the idolatry in the camp, he cast the tables from his hands and broke them beneath the mountain. The shattered stones visibly represented Israel breaking the covenant almost as soon as it had been given. Moses later interceded for the people, and the LORD commanded him to prepare two new tables and return to the mountain.
Exodus 34:1 — “And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.”
Moses had to cut the second tables, but God again wrote the commandments upon them. The words didn't change because human failure couldn't lower the holiness of their Author. The renewed tables showed both the unchanging righteousness of the law and the mercy that allowed Israel's covenant relationship to continue after grievous sin.
Moses mediated the covenant of the law, but Jesus Christ came as the Mediator of something better. The law revealed sin and pronounced guilt, yet it couldn't give fallen mankind the righteousness it required. Jesus alone kept every command perfectly and fulfilled the entire law without failure.
At the cross, Christ bore the curse pronounced against lawbreakers and shed His blood to establish the basis of forgiveness. He rose again and now gives righteousness freely to everyone who believes. The broken covenant testified against Israel, but the finished work of Jesus testifies that the believer's debt has been paid in full.

Moses, Law Of God is a powerful control Being that weakens every Enemy Being on the Storyline. The -1 Strength makes Enemy Beings less dangerous in Challenges, while the -1 Hope makes them easier to Exile. This Ability is especially strong against small Beings, because Enemy Beings with only 1 Hope may be Exiled once their Hope is reduced.
This Hope reduction is continuous, not a triggered Ability or Damage. It applies immediately when an eligible Enemy Being is Created. Record that Being's Prophecy, then check its Current Hope before the queued Prophecy resolves. A Solomon at 0 Hope leaves before his self-buff can save him; a recorded Draw Prophecy can still resolve without its source.

A: Their ongoing effects stack. Enemy Beings receive a total of -2 Strength and -2 Hope while both Moses Abilities remain active.
Q: If an Enemy Being is Humbled, does it stop receiving Moses's -1 Strength and -1 Hope?
A: No. Moses is the source of the ongoing Ability. Humbling the affected Enemy Being doesn't cancel an active passive effect coming from another Being.
Q: What happens if Pharaoh, Hard Heart Humbles Moses?
A: Moses's Ability is canceled, so surviving Enemy Beings immediately stop receiving his -1 Strength and -1 Hope.
Q: If Moses caused a 1-Hope Being to be Exiled and Moses is Humbled afterward, does that Being come back?
