The Bible Story Behind Patient Saint
During the final half of Daniel's seventieth week, the beast will demand worship and enforce his mark throughout the earth. Those who refuse his authority will lose the ability to buy and sell and may be imprisoned or killed. Patient Saint presents one of the believers who will hold the testimony of Jesus during the darkest period of Jacob's trouble.
These saints aren't the church, for the bride will already have been caught up to Christ. They'll believe during the wrath Age and remain faithful while the beast persecutes all who reject his image and mark. Their patience will consist of enduring extreme pressure without surrendering their allegiance to the true God.
Revelation 14:13 — “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
The world will regard their deaths as the victory of the beast, but heaven will pronounce them blessed. Their earthly labor, suffering, and testimony will end, yet their faithful works won't be forgotten before God. Death will release them from persecution and bring them into rest while they await resurrection and reward under the reign of Jesus Christ.
These believers won't overcome because they possess greater human strength than the beast's kingdom. Their hope will rest in the Lamb whose blood provides forgiveness and whose resurrection guarantees that death can't hold those who belong to Him. The Antichrist may destroy their bodies, but he will remain unable to separate them from the life promised through Jesus Christ.
When Christ returns at Armageddon, the beast's brief authority will end and the persecuted saints will be vindicated. Revelation presents those beheaded for the witness of Jesus living and reigning with Christ during His thousand-year kingdom. Their patient faith will become an everlasting testimony that loyalty to the Lamb was worth more than temporary safety beneath the beast.
