Evil Locust – Common Wrath Spirit | Bible TCG

Updated: 1 day ago

Genesis Set Card 180/250
Evil Locust is a Common Spirit Being from the Wrath Age, costing 1 Faith with 3 Strength, 2 Hope, 2 Reach, and 1 Move. Its Prophecy Ability makes Target Opponent gain 3 points.
The Bible Story Behind Evil Locust
When the fifth trumpet sounds, a star is given the key to the bottomless pit. The abyss opens, smoke darkens the air, and terrible locust-like beings emerge upon the earth. Evil Locust presents a literal invasion from the unseen realm during the wrath Age, when demonic powers will be permitted to operate openly in judgment.
These creatures won't consume crops like ordinary locusts. They'll possess the appearance of a prepared army, the power of scorpions, and a king named Abaddon in Hebrew and Apollyon in Greek. Their authority will be limited by God, yet their presence will reveal how dreadful the spiritual world becomes when restraints are removed.
Revelation 9:3 — “And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.”

The locusts will be commanded not to hurt the grass, trees, or vegetation, but to torment people who don't possess the seal of God in their foreheads. Their torment will continue for five months, becoming so severe that men will desire death without being able to find it. This judgment won't be uncontrolled demonic violence, for every boundary of their power will remain fixed by the Lord who permits their release.
The opening of the abyss will show that Satan and his forces never act as equals competing against God. The key must be given, the pit must be opened, and the creatures must obey the restrictions placed upon them. Even the darkest spirits remain creatures beneath the absolute sovereignty of the One seated upon the throne.
The sealed servants protected from this torment aren't the church, which will already be with Christ, but servants appointed by God during Daniel's final week. The wrath Age will include both terrible judgment and unmistakable divine separation as God preserves those marked for His purpose. The Lord will continue His prophetic dealings with Israel and the nations while the bride remains safely beside her Bridegroom.

Evil Locust Bible TCG Strategy
Evil Locust gives you very strong Stats for only 1 Faith, but it comes with a serious drawback. When it's Created, Target Opponent gains 3 points, bringing that Opponent closer to winning. Because of this, Evil Locust is best in aggressive Decks that can use its early Strength to apply pressure quickly and overcome the point gain it gives the Opponent. Resolve the Prophecy and its Checkpoint before taking another normal action. If the Opponent's point gain ends the Game, Zeal doesn't give you an opportunity to Challenge first.
Synergies
Strong early Stats: Evil Locust gives 3 Strength and 2 Hope for only 1 Faith.
Aggressive pressure: Evil Locust can help pressure Enemy Beings or the Opponent early.
Prophecy reuse: Signs And Wonders can Return a legal Friendly Evil Locust to its Owner's Hand. Playing it again later Creates a new Being and records a new Prophecy.

Questions and Answers
Q: What happens if my Opponent is already at 17 Bible Points when Evil Locust is Created?
A: Evil Locust gives them 3 more points, bringing them to 20. That can immediately hand them the victory, so its drawback must be taken seriously.
Q: If I Return Evil Locust to my Hand and Play it again, does my Opponent gain another 3 points?
A: Yes. Evil Locust is Created again, so its Prophecy triggers again.
Q: Can Humbling Evil Locust after it enters undo the 3 points my Opponent already gained?
A: No. The Prophecy already resolved.
Q: Does a successful 3-Strength direct Challenge somehow take back the 3 points Evil Locust gave my Opponent?
A: No. The Opponent keeps their points. Your direct Challenge instead gives you 3 Bible Points of your own.
Q: Why is Evil Locust much riskier late in the Game than early?
A: Early in the Game, you may have time to exploit its under-costed Stats. Near 20 Bible Points, its Prophecy can put the Opponent within immediate winning range or win the Game for them outright.
