Genesis Set Card 124/250
Rebuilt Temple is a Rare Event from the Israel Age, costing 7 Faith. Target Opponent loses 10 points, then you Draw three Verses.
The Bible Story Behind Rebuilt Temple
After Judah's captivity in Babylon, Cyrus king of Persia permitted the Jewish people to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the house of the LORD. The returning remnant laid the foundation under Zerubbabel and Jeshua, restoring the altar and beginning the work. Yet opposition, accusation, and political interference caused construction to cease for many years.
God later raised up the prophets Haggai and Zechariah to call the people back to the unfinished temple. Zerubbabel and the elders resumed building, while the Persian records confirmed that Cyrus had truly authorized the work. Rebuilt Temple therefore presents God reviving a discouraged remnant and completing what resistance had attempted to stop.
Ezra 6:14 — “[...] And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.”

The temple was completed because the commandment of God stood behind the decrees of earthly kings. Persia possessed political authority over Judah, but the LORD remained sovereign over the rulers and circumstances surrounding the work. What began through God's promise was sustained by His word until the house was finally finished.
The rebuilt temple restored sacrifice and worship in Jerusalem and prepared the historical setting into which Jesus Christ would later come. Yet Jesus revealed that God's presence would ultimately be known through something greater than a building. He was the true temple, God dwelling among men in human flesh.
When Jesus spoke of destroying the temple and raising it again in three days, He spoke of His own body. Men crucified Him, but God raised Him from the dead. Through His death and resurrection, Christ completed redemption and became the chief cornerstone of a spiritual house built from everyone who believes.

Rebuilt Temple Bible TCG Strategy
Rebuilt Temple is a powerful late-Game Event that can greatly reduce an Opponent's points while also giving you more Verses. The point loss can slow an Opponent who is close to winning, and Drawing three Verses helps refill your Hand. Because the 10 point loss isn't Damage, it doesn't count as Damage and doesn't cause Bible Point gain.
Synergies
Point pressure: Rebuilt Temple makes Target Opponent lose 10 points.
Card Draw: After the point loss, you Draw three Verses.
Late-Game recovery: Rebuilt Temple can help you slow the Opponent while giving you more options.

Questions and Answers
Q: If my Opponent has 19 Bible Points, can Rebuilt Temple prevent them from being one point away from victory?
A: Yes. Rebuilt Temple directly reduces their score by 10 points before you Draw the three Verses.
Q: Does the Opponent losing 10 points cause me to Gain 10 Bible Points?
A: No. Direct point loss and Damage are different rules concepts.
Q: Does Pray increase the 10 point loss?
A: No. Rebuilt Temple doesn't deal Damage, so Pray has nothing to increase.
Q: What happens if I have only two Verses left in my Bible when I Play Rebuilt Temple?
A: The Opponent still loses the 10 points first. You then begin Drawing three Verses. After Drawing the final two, you lose when you need to make the third Draw from an empty Bible.

Q: If Raphael is active and Rebuilt Temple was my one Verse Played from Hand that Turn, can I use one of the three Verses I Draw immediately?
A: You can still use them for things that don't require Playing another Verse from your Hand, but you can't Play another Verse from your Hand that Turn while Raphael's restriction applies.
