The Righteous Rider, Raised and Ready

In the heavens, the constellation of the Horseman riding forward with bow and arrow tells a mighty part of the story, the moment of Christ’s resurrection. The horse charges in glory, and in His hand is a drawn arrow, not fired yet, but held in perfect strength. This is Jesus, raised from the dead, no longer meek and lowly, but victorious and exalted.

The resurrection of Christ declared His eternal identity: Son of God, Son of Man, Lord of Glory. The grave could not hold Him, and His rising proved His power over every enemy. He now rides, exalted to the right hand of God, armed with truth and judgment. The King Has Risen, Grace in Glory

The rejected Horseman is now the risen King, and His position in heaven speaks volumes. He took every stripe, bore every curse, died the sinner’s death, and then He rose, never to die again. “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.” – Romans 6:9. His resurrection was victory and vindication.

His arrows, though not yet loosed, are a sign of righteous judgment soon to come. The same Jesus who saved believers by grace will one day judge the world in righteousness. He is full of mercy now, calling all to receive eternal life through faith. But when He comes again, He will do so in power. “Out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations...” – Revelation 19:15.
