The Bible Story Behind Seth, Replacing Abel
After Cain slew Abel, Adam and Eve experienced the terrible fruit of sin within their own family. The righteous son was gone, his blood cried from the ground, and the line connected with his faithful testimony appeared to have ended. Yet God gave them another son appointed in Abel's place, and Eve called his name Seth.
Seth didn't erase the sorrow of Abel's death, but his birth revealed that the purpose of God hadn't been defeated. Through Seth came Enos, and in his days men began to call upon the name of the LORD. Seth, Replacing Abel therefore represents the promised line continuing by the appointment and mercy of God.
Genesis 4:25 — “And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.”
Seth's name carried the meaning of his place within the family. He wasn't Abel returned from the dead, but another seed given where death had brought loss. His birth declared that Cain's violence couldn't stop the generations through which the promised seed of the woman would eventually come.
Abel's death pointed forward to Jesus Christ, the righteous One who would also be hated and slain without cause. Yet the death of Jesus didn't end the purpose of God. He rose again on the third day, and through His resurrection a new creation began that death can never destroy.
The church is joined to this risen Christ. We aren't made alive through Adam's strength, the works of the law, or the continuation of an earthly bloodline. We've been born again through faith in Jesus, quickened together with Him and made partakers of His resurrection life.

Seth, Replacing Abel is a scaling Being that grows stronger as your Friendly Beings are Exiled. He starts with low Strength, but if your Storyline is involved in multiple Challenges or removal exchanges, he can become a serious threat over time. Because his Ability only cares about Friendly Beings being Exiled, he works best in Decks that expect to trade Beings often or build a wide Storyline.

Friendly Exile Scaling: Seth Gains +1 Strength whenever one of your Friendly Beings is Exiled.
Wide Storyline: The more Friendly Beings you have, the more chances Seth has to grow during the Game.
Challenge Trading: Seth is strong in Decks that are willing to trade Beings through Challenges while building long-term Strength.

Q: If three of my Friendly Beings are Exiled at the same time and Seth survives, how much Strength does he gain?
A: +3 Strength. His Ability can trigger once for each Friendly Being that was Exiled.
Q: Do Friendly Tokens being Exiled grow Seth?
A: Yes. They were Friendly Beings on your Storyline when the Exile happened.
Q: Does Seth grow when an Enemy Being is Exiled?
A: No. Unlike Innocent Firstling, Seth specifically requires a Friendly Being to be Exiled.
Q: What happens if Seth and several Friendly Beings are all Exiled at the same time?
A: Seth leaves the Storyline with them and won't remain there to receive the resulting Strength bonuses.
Q: If Seth has Gained +5 Strength and is then Humbled, what happens?
A: His Ability is Canceled and the direct Strength modifiers granted through that Ability are removed, returning him to his Printed Strength unless another active effect changes it.
