Genesis Set Card 23/250
Tribal Lion is a Common Beast Being from the Stars Age, costing 6 Faith with 6 Strength, 5 Hope, 3 Reach, and 4 Move. It has Protect, allowing it to prevent Challenges against adjacent Beings.
The Bible Story Behind Tribal Lion
At the conclusion of the heavenly story appears the lion, standing in majesty as the ruler whose strength none can withstand. The signs that began with the promised birth now end with the crowned King. The lion doesn't flee, suffer, or wait beneath opposition. He declares the final triumph of the rightful Ruler over every enemy.
The card's reference names Christ as the lion of the tribe of Juda before John sees Him as a Lamb that had been slain. That scene occurs before the seals are opened, rather than after the establishment of the earthly kingdom. Within Stars, the lion also anticipates the royal triumph that the rest of Revelation carries toward fulfillment.
Revelation 5:5 — “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”

Jesus is called the lion of the tribe of Juda because He is the promised King who came through the royal line of David. He alone is worthy to open the book and bring the purposes of God to their appointed completion. The lion therefore reveals the strength, authority, and victory of the Messiah who has prevailed.
The reigning lion is the same Jesus who first came as the Lamb of God. He was born in humility, rejected by His own, and crucified for our sins, yet He rose again and now lives for evermore. The Lamb who redeemed us by His blood is also the lion who shall rule all nations.
The church shall share in His glory, not because we earned a place in His kingdom, but because we were saved by grace and joined to Him. Christ fulfilled the law, bore our condemnation, and made us accepted in Himself. When He appears, we shall appear with Him in glory and reign with the King who purchased us.

Tribal Lion Bible TCG Strategy
Tribal Lion is a powerful defensive and offensive Being. With 6 Strength and 5 Hope, it can Challenge effectively while also being difficult to Exile. Its Protect Ability makes positioning especially important. When placed beside valuable Friendly Beings, Tribal Lion can help keep them safe from Challenges.
Synergies
Protecting Key Beings: Create Tribal Lion beside important Friendly Beings so Protect can prevent Challenges against them.
Strong Challenge Presence: With 6 Strength, Tribal Lion can deal serious Damage in Challenges.
Support Positioning: Create or Move Tribal Lion beside a support Being such as Brave Leader. Its Protect can prevent Challenges against that adjacent Friendly Being.

Questions and Answers
Q: What happens if two Beings with Protect are adjacent to each other?
A: Each one can Protect the other from Challenges because each is an adjacent Friendly Being from the other's perspective.
Q: If Tribal Lion Moves to another Slot, which Beings does it Protect?
A: Protect follows Tribal Lion's current position. After it Moves, it protects the Friendly Beings now adjacent to its new Slot rather than the ones it used to stand beside.
Q: What happens if Tribal Lion is Humbled?
A: Its Protect Ability is Canceled. Any adjacent Beings that were relying only on Tribal Lion's Protect can then be Challenged normally if they are otherwise legal Targets.
Q: Can an Opponent use an Event to Exile the Being beside Tribal Lion?
A: Yes, if the Event can legally Target that Being. Protect stops Challenges against adjacent Friendly Beings; it doesn't protect them from Ability Targeting.
Q: If the Being beside Tribal Lion already has active Darkness, what does Protect add?
A: Before that Darkness Being Interacts, it already can't be Targeted by an Opponent through a Challenge. Protect may become more relevant after the Darkness protection ends, because Tribal Lion can continue preventing Challenges against that adjacent Being.
