The Bible Story Behind Elder Ram
Elder Ram represents the dignity of the sacrifice now associated with victory and authority. Its scriptural reference comes from Revelation 5, where John sees a Lamb standing as though slain and taking the sealed book from the One seated upon the throne. The ram carries the heavenly story's testimony of sacrifice and exaltation toward the Lamb whom John sees upon the throne.
The heavenly scene brings suffering and worthiness together. The Lamb can take the book because He has prevailed, and the song that follows praises His redemption through blood. The ram recalls that movement from sacrifice to exaltation, directing our attention to the Redeemer's worthiness.
Revelation 5:7 — “And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.”
The Lamb is worthy because He accomplished what no creature in heaven or earth could perform. He gave Himself without spot to God, redeemed His people by His blood, and rose victorious from the grave. The ram therefore represents the perfect sacrifice now standing as the worthy Ruler, before whom all heaven bows in worship.
Jesus is both the Lamb who was slain and the Lord who now reigns. Every ram and lamb offered under the law pointed forward to Him, but those sacrifices could never take away sins. Christ offered Himself once for all, and by that one offering He perfected forever them that are sanctified.
The church belongs to this heavenly Lamb. We aren't awaiting the wrath appointed to the world, for Jesus bore our wrath and delivered us from condemnation. At His appointed time, the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven, and those who belong to Him shall be caught up together to meet Him in the air.

Elder Ram is a strong Cattle Being that can either help control the Storyline or become harder to remove. If your Opponent has a Being you need to weaken, Elder Ram can deal 2 Damage to Target Enemy Being. If you need a durable protector instead, Elder Ram can Give itself +2 Hope and Protect. This makes Elder Ram flexible, especially in Decks that want large Beings, Cattle synergy, and strong defensive positioning.

Q: What if every Enemy Being is protected from Targeting by Darkness when Elder Ram is Created?
A: The Damage option may have no legal Target, but the second Discern option doesn't need an Enemy Target. You can choose to Give Elder Ram +2 Hope and Protect instead.
Q: Does Giving Elder Ram +2 Hope remove existing Damage from it?
A: No. Giving Hope isn't Restoration. Existing Damage remains.
Q: If Elder Ram later gets Humbled, what happens to the defensive Discern option?
A: Humble removes the direct +2 Hope modifier and Cancels the Protect Ability granted to Elder Ram. Recalculate its Current Hope afterward.
Q: Does Protect make Elder Ram itself harder to Challenge?
A: No. Protect defends adjacent Friendly Beings, not the Being that has Protect.
Q: How does Lost Lamb improve Elder Ram?
A: Elder Ram is Cattle, so while Lost Lamb's Ability is active, Elder Ram receives +1 Strength. That makes either its normal Challenges or its role as a large Protect Being more threatening.
