War In Heaven is a 2 Faith Event from the Wrath Age that introduces randomized damage with a potent upside: deal damage to target enemy equal to a die roll. This event thrives on unpredictability and high-reward risk, enabling both aggressive plays and removal options depending on the outcome of the roll.

The Final Cosmic Battle

At the middle of the seven years, the unseen realm will erupt with warfare of unimaginable scale. Heaven itself will become a battlefield as Michael and his angels take their stand against the dragon and his fallen host. This will not be a symbolic struggle, it will be a decisive, literal casting out of the enemy from the heavenly places he has long accused from. His access to the throne room will be finished, his voice silenced before God’s presence forever.

The dragon, that old serpent called the devil and Satan, will be overpowered by the hosts of heaven. No army of darkness can match the power of the angels loyal to the King of kings. The heavens will roar with the victory, for the blood of the Lamb has already secured the authority to banish the accuser. "Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ" - Revelation 12:10.

"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,"

When the dragon is cast down, his fury will burn hotter than ever before. Knowing his time is short, he will turn all his rage toward the earth, specifically toward the woman, Israel, who will be protected in the wilderness. Yet his defeat in the heavens is the unshakable sign that his end is sealed, and the throne of the Lamb will soon be revealed in glory.

The Accuser Removed

From the days of Job, the adversary has stood as the accuser of the brethren, bringing railing charges before God’s throne. But this moment will be the breaking of his claim, the end of his case against the saints, for the blood of Jesus speaks better things than that of Abel. As Michael casts him out, the heavens will be cleansed of every shadow, and the stage will be set for the reign of the Son of Man.

The authority of heaven will now be fully realized on earth. What was declared at the cross will be enforced by angelic victory. Satan’s power will be pressed into the narrow space of the final years, his kingdom crumbling under the unstoppable advance of prophecy fulfilled. The Lamb who was slain will stand ready to claim what is His, for all things in heaven and earth have been given into His hand.

Believer, you stand in the victory of this same Christ today. You are already seated with Him in heavenly places, far above all principalities and powers. The accuser has no claim over you, for your sins are washed, your name is written in the book of life, and your inheritance is secured forever. You will witness this war from the safety of His presence, rejoicing in the triumph of the One who fights for you and has made you His own by grace through faith.

At only 2 Faith, the potential to deal up to 6 damage makes it a cost-efficient option for dealing with enemies that are otherwise difficult to handle. War In Heaven also pairs well with aggro strategies, clearing blockers, or softening high-Hope targets for follow-up trades. While inconsistent, the card’s ceiling is incredibly high, making it a worthwhile inclusion in many Wrath Age decks.
