Genesis Set Card 94/250

Aaron, Voice Of Liberty is a Common Chief Being from the Torah Age, costing 5 Faith with 5 Strength, 3 Hope, 3 Reach, and 3 Move. He has Anointing, allowing him to ignore the first Damage he would take.

The Bible Story Behind Aaron, Voice Of Liberty

When the LORD called Moses to return to Egypt, Moses feared that he couldn't speak well enough for the task. God answered by appointing Aaron, his brother, to stand beside him and speak to the people. Aaron's voice would carry the message God had first given to Moses.

Aaron met Moses in the wilderness, heard the words of the LORD, and helped present the signs to the elders of Israel. He later stood before Pharaoh and declared God's demand that His people be released. Aaron, Voice Of Liberty therefore presents the chosen spokesman announcing deliverance to a nation held beneath cruel bondage.

Exodus 4:16 — “And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.”

Aaron wasn't free to invent his own message or speak according to personal ambition. Moses received the command from God, and Aaron faithfully communicated it to others. His authority rested upon the word he had been entrusted to proclaim rather than upon the power of his own voice.

Aaron's ministry points forward to Jesus Christ, who spoke the words of the Father with complete faithfulness. Jesus didn't merely repeat a message from God as a servant; He was the eternal Word made flesh, revealing the Father perfectly to Israel and the world.

Christ proclaimed liberty to the captives and then accomplished that liberty through His own sacrifice. He fulfilled the law, bore our sins upon the cross, and rose again so that believers could be freed from condemnation and death. The message of deliverance became reality through the blood and resurrection of the One who preached it.

Questions and Answers

Q: If Aaron is hit by Wounding Sword, how does Anointing interact with its eight separate Damage instances?

A: Aaron ignores the first Damage instance with Anointing. The remaining Damage instances can affect him normally. Repeat creates separate Damage instances rather than one combined hit.

Q: What if Aaron's first Damage is only 1 Damage from Judging Crow?

A: Anointing still ignores it and becomes used. The size of the first Damage instance doesn't matter.

Q: Can Slew In Egypt Exile Aaron while his Anointing is unused?

A: Yes. Slew In Egypt directly Exiles rather than dealing Damage, so Anointing doesn't protect Aaron.

Q: What happens if Pharaoh Humbles Aaron before Aaron takes Damage?

A: His Anointing is canceled. The next Damage affects him normally.

Q: Does Anointing come back at the beginning of every Turn?

A: No. Once its first Damage prevention has been used, it doesn't automatically refresh.
