The Bible Story Behind Abel, Righteous Martyr
Abel was a keeper of sheep who approached God by faith. He brought the firstlings of his flock, and the Lord had respect for him and his offering. Cain's offering was rejected, and his anger turned against his brother. Abel became the first recorded victim of murder in Scripture, while Hebrews 11 identifies the faith through which he received witness that he was righteous.
Cain spoke with Abel, and while they were in the field, he rose up against his brother and slew him. Scripture identifies Cain's works as evil and Abel's as righteous, though Genesis doesn't reveal every thought that motivated the murder. Abel, Righteous Martyr therefore presents the first recorded killing of a righteous man, while Hebrews confirms that Abel offered his sacrifice to God by faith.
Genesis 4:8 says: "And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him."
Abel had done no violence against Cain, yet he was slain because Cain refused the correction of God. Afterward, Abel's blood cried to the Lord from the ground, demanding that the innocent life taken from him be answered. His death became an early witness that God sees every injustice and won't forget the blood of the righteous.
Abel pointed forward to Jesus Christ, the perfectly righteous Son who was hated and slain without cause. Jesus came to His own and was rejected, though He had committed no sin and no guile was found in His mouth. Like Abel, the innocent One was delivered to death by men who resisted the righteousness of God.
Yet the blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel. Abel's blood cried from the ground for justice, while Christ's blood provides forgiveness for the guilty who believe. Jesus bore our sins upon the cross, fulfilled the law, and rose again so that the church could be justified freely by His grace through redemption in His blood.

His Prophecy Ability can turn another Friendly Being into a much larger threat, helping it win Challenges or push for more Bible Points through a direct Challenge. Because Abel can't Target himself with this Ability, he works best when you already have another Friendly Being on the Storyline.

A: Strong Ox rises from 3 to 6 Strength. Because it has Abundance, that increased Strength can apply during both of its Challenges.
Q: Can Abel Give +3 Strength to a Friendly Being with Darkness before it Interacts?
A: No. Active Darkness prevents Targeting by every Player, including the Being's Controller. You must choose another legal Target or skip the connected Targeted step if none exists. Non-Targeting effects can still affect a Being with Darkness.
Q: If Abel's Target is later Humbled, does it keep the +3 Strength?
A: No. Humble removes that direct Strength modifier.
Q: What if Abel is Humbled after his Prophecy has already resolved?
A: The completed Prophecy isn't undone merely because Abel later loses his own Ability. The +3 Strength remains on the receiver until something removes that modifier.
Q: Can Abel's +3 Strength increase Bible Points from a direct Challenge?
