The Bible Story Behind Breaching Whale
Jonah fled from the command of God rather than travel to Nineveh and warn the Gentile city of coming judgment. When the LORD sent a mighty storm against his ship, Jonah acknowledged that his disobedience had brought danger upon the sailors. After they cast him into the sea, the storm ceased and God appointed a great fish to preserve His fleeing prophet.
The fish wasn't a random creature arriving by chance. The LORD had prepared it for this exact moment, using the depths of the sea both to discipline Jonah and to keep him alive. Breaching Whale therefore presents God's complete authority over creation and His determination to accomplish His purpose through an unwilling servant.
Jonah 1:17 — “Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.”
Jonah remained within the fish for three days and three nights, surrounded by darkness and unable to rescue himself. From the depths, he prayed to the LORD and acknowledged that salvation belonged to Him. The place that appeared to be Jonah's destruction became the vessel through which God preserved him and returned him to his calling.
Jesus Christ identified Jonah's experience as a sign of His own death, burial, and resurrection. As Jonah remained within the great fish for three days and three nights, the Son of man would enter the heart of the earth. Yet Jesus didn't suffer because He fled God's command; He obeyed the Father perfectly and willingly died for the sins of others.
Jonah emerged so that he could preach judgment to Nineveh, but Jesus rose from the grave with the message of completed redemption. Christ fulfilled the law, shed His blood, and conquered death so that salvation could be proclaimed to Israel and the Gentile nations. The resurrection proved that His sacrifice had been accepted and that everlasting life is available through faith in Him.

Breaching Whale is a strong low-Cost Being with an important drawback and combo purpose. If another legal Friendly Being exists when Breaching Whale's queued Prophecy resolves, you must select and Exile one. A Friendly Being with active Darkness isn't a legal Target. This can be a drawback if you're not prepared, but it can also be useful if you want to trigger Resurrect, clear a Slot, or remove one of your own Beings for strategic value.
