The Bible Story Behind Burning Bush
Moses had fled from Egypt and spent many years tending the flock of Jethro in the wilderness of Midian. While leading the sheep near Horeb, the mountain of God, he saw a bush burning with fire without being destroyed. The strange sight drew him aside from his ordinary work and into an encounter that would redirect the remainder of his life.
From the midst of the bush, God called Moses by name and told him to remove his shoes because he stood upon holy ground. The LORD had seen Israel's affliction, heard their cries, and known their sorrows. Burning Bush therefore presents the holy God drawing near because He had come down to deliver His covenant people from Egypt.
Exodus 3:2 — “And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.”
The fire revealed the holiness and presence of God, while the unconsumed bush showed that His presence could remain without destroying the vessel He had chosen. At this place, the LORD revealed His name and commissioned Moses to stand before Pharaoh. The fugitive shepherd was called from obscurity to become Israel's appointed deliverer.
The God who revealed Himself in the burning bush was later revealed perfectly through Jesus Christ. The eternal Word was made flesh and dwelt among men, bringing divine holiness near without ceasing to be truly human. In Christ, the invisible God made Himself known and entered the suffering of His people to accomplish deliverance.
Jesus came to perform an Exodus greater than the departure from Egypt. At the cross, He entered the fire of judgment against our sins, fulfilled the law, and gave His life as the perfect sacrifice. Yet death couldn't consume Him. He rose bodily from the grave and now lives for evermore as the Deliverer of everyone who believes.

Burning Bush is a low-Cost Damage Event that can hit either an Opponent or an Enemy Being. This makes it useful as early removal, direct pressure, or part of an Event Damage strategy. Because it costs only 1 Faith, Burning Bush can fit easily into Turns where you want to Play multiple Verses.
