Genesis Set Card 78/250
Death Fly is a Common Creep Being from the Torah Age, costing 1 Faith with 1 Strength, 1 Hope, 0 Reach, and 4 Move. It has Darkness, meaning it can't Block or be Targeted before it Interacts.
The Bible Story Behind Death Fly
When Pharaoh refused to release Israel, the LORD sent a grievous swarm of flies throughout the land of Egypt. They entered Pharaoh's house, filled the homes of his servants, and spread across the country. What appeared to be a small creature became an overwhelming instrument of judgment when commanded by God.
The swarm corrupted the land and made ordinary life unbearable. Yet God placed a division between Egypt and the land of Goshen, where His people dwelt. Death Fly therefore presents judgment falling upon the oppressor while the LORD openly distinguished and preserved the nation He had chosen to deliver.
Exodus 8:24 — “And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.”

The plague entered Pharaoh's own house, showing that earthly position couldn't shelter anyone from the word of the LORD. Egypt's ruler could command servants and armies, but he couldn't control the smallest creatures once God sent them. The corrupted land testified that creation itself answers to its Creator rather than to the proudest king upon the earth.
The plagues of Egypt reveal the seriousness of divine judgment against rebellion and oppression. Yet they also prepare us to understand the mercy shown at the cross. Jesus Christ entered a world corrupted by sin and willingly bore the curse and judgment that belonged to us, though He alone was without sin.
Through His death and resurrection, Christ accomplished a deliverance greater than Israel's escape from Egypt. Believers aren't protected because judgment is unreal, but because it has already fallen upon their Substitute. Jesus bore condemnation in our place and brought the church into the safety of His grace and righteousness.

Death Fly Bible TCG Strategy
Death Fly is a small but slippery early Being. Darkness makes it difficult for your Opponent to deal with before it Interacts, while 4 Move gives it strong repositioning options. Because it has 0 Reach, Death Fly can't Challenge unless another effect increases its Reach. This makes it more useful for positioning and Creep synergy than direct offense.
Synergies
Darkness protection: Death Fly can't Block or be Targeted before it Interacts.
High mobility: With 4 Move, Death Fly can reposition across the Storyline easily.
Creep synergy: Death Fly works well in Decks that care about Creeps or need small protected Beings.

Questions and Answers
Q: Since Death Fly has 0 Reach, what is the easiest way for it to Interact and end its Darkness protection?
A: Move it. Death Fly has 4 Move, so Moving is normally its easiest way to Interact without first increasing its Reach.
Q: Can Death Fly Block while its Darkness protection is active?
A: No. Darkness specifically prevents the Being from Blocking before it Interacts.
Q: What happens after Death Fly Moves?
A: It has now Interacted, so Darkness stops protecting it. Your Opponent can Target it normally, and it can Block normally afterward.
Q: Can Fearful Nations affect Death Fly before it Interacts?
A: Yes. Fearful Nations affects all Enemy Beings without Targeting them. Death Fly can therefore become Feared even while Darkness protects it.
Q: What happens if Death Fly is Feared before it ever Interacts?
A: It can't Move or Challenge while Fear applies, so it remains unable to end Darkness through an Interaction. That means it stays protected from Targeting by any Player, but it also stays unable to Block while it hasn't Interacted.
