The Bible Story Behind Crowing Rooster
On the night Jesus was arrested, Peter confidently declared that he would remain faithful even if every other disciple abandoned the Lord. He believed his courage was stronger than the danger ahead and insisted that he was ready to die with Jesus. Yet Christ knew Peter's weakness more accurately than Peter knew himself.
While Jesus was being questioned, Peter waited outside among the servants and officers. Three different accusations connected him with Jesus, and three times Peter denied knowing Him, eventually speaking with curses and oaths. Crowing Rooster therefore presents the precise moment when human confidence collapsed exactly as Jesus had foretold.
Matthew 26:34 — “Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.”
Immediately after Peter's third denial, the rooster crowed. Luke records that Jesus turned and looked upon Peter, causing him to remember the Lord's words and go out weeping bitterly. The rooster's cry confirmed the perfect truth of Christ's word while exposing the failure Peter had believed impossible.
Jesus knew Peter would deny Him, but He didn't abandon him. Before the failure occurred, Christ had already prayed that Peter's faith wouldn't completely fail and told him that, once converted, he should strengthen his brethren. Peter's preservation rested upon the intercession of Jesus rather than the strength of his own promises.
After rising from the dead, Jesus personally restored Peter beside the Sea of Galilee. Three times He asked Peter whether he loved Him, answering Peter's three denials with a renewed commission to feed His sheep. The risen Savior didn't pretend the failure had never happened, but He answered it with forgiveness, restoration, and continued purpose.

Crowing Rooster is a flexible support Being that helps Event Damage strategies while also giving value when it's Exiled. Pray +1 increases your Event Damage by 1, making your Damage-dealing Events stronger while Crowing Rooster is on the Storyline. Its Resurrect Ability also helps replace it when it's Exiled, letting you Draw a Verse and keep your Hand moving.
Pray applies while Rooster's Ability is active during the Event's Damage. Adder's Event-Play trigger waits until that Event finishes. If Adder then Exiles Rooster, record Rooster's Resurrect Draw at the back of the Queue; that Draw doesn't interrupt Adder.
