The Bible Story Behind Eager Bird
After Abram prepared the animals commanded by God, the fowls came down upon the divided carcasses. They were drawn toward what had been laid out for the covenant, seeking to consume the sacrifice before the appointed moment. Abram remained watchful and drove them away, preserving what God had told him to prepare.
The offering belonged to a solemn covenant scene in which God would reveal the future of Abram's seed and confirm His promise concerning the land. Abram didn't yet understand every detail, but he guarded the sacrifice while waiting upon the LORD. Eager Bird therefore presents outside forces attempting to interfere with what God had set apart for His purpose.
Genesis 15:11 — “And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.”
The fowls were eager to take what hadn't been prepared for them. Their descent threatened to disturb the order of the sacrifice, but Abram refused to let them consume it. The moment shows that what God appoints must be handled according to His word, rather than surrendered to impatience, appetite, or intrusion.
Abram's covenant scene stresses the faithfulness of the God who promises the land and foretells the history of Abram's descendants. Galatians 3 later explains the blessing of Abraham reaching the nations through Jesus Christ. The interruption gives the card its picture of opposition around a promise God Himself would secure, while Abram's watchfulness keeps our attention upon the covenant before him.
In the fullness of time, Jesus willingly offered Himself upon the cross. He fulfilled the law, bore our sins, and shed the blood through which the blessing of Abraham now comes upon believing Gentiles. The covenant rests upon God's faithfulness, not upon man's ability to complete it. Christ became the sacrifice, and God secured every promise through Him.
Eager Bird Bible TCG Strategy
Eager Bird starts small, but it can grow quickly in Event-heavy Decks. Each Event you Play Gives it +1 Strength, allowing it to become a real threat over time. Because it begins with 0 Strength, Eager Bird usually needs support before it can apply pressure. It can legally Challenge and Block even at 0 Strength, but Gaining Strength lets those Challenges deal Damage and apply pressure.

Event Synergy: Eager Bird Gains +1 Strength whenever you Play an Event.
Snowball Threat: If you Play several Events across the Game, Eager Bird can become much stronger than its Cost suggests.
Group Bonuses: Light In The Darkness can increase Eager Bird's Strength along with your other Friendly Beings. Prepare the bonus for a Turn when those Beings can Challenge.

A: +3 Strength. Each of those is a separate Event that you Played.
Q: Does Playing a Token increase Eager Bird's Strength?
A: No. A Token is Played as a Being Verse from the Out Of Game Zone, but Eager Bird specifically cares about Events.
Q: If Abram's Bad Dream Creates four Afflicted Man Tokens, how many times does Eager Bird trigger?
A: Once. Abram's Bad Dream itself is one Event, so Eager Bird Gains +1 Strength from Playing that Event. The four Tokens are Being Verses, not Events.
Q: What happens to Eager Bird's accumulated Strength if it's Humbled?
A: Its Ability is Canceled, and the direct Strength modifiers it Gained through that Ability are removed. Its printed 0 Strength remains unless another active effect changes it.
Q: If Eager Bird has grown to 5 Strength, can that increased Strength score Bible Points through a direct Challenge?
A: Yes. A successful direct Challenge uses its Current Strength, so Eager Bird would give you 5 Bible Points in that situation.
