Genesis Set Card 8/250

Evasive Hare is a Common Beast Being from the Stars Age, costing 2 Faith with 1 Strength, 3 Hope, 1 Reach, and 3 Move. It has no Ability, but its high Move and solid Hope make it a useful early Being.

The Bible Story Behind Evasive Hare

Evasive Hare uses the fleeing hare of Bible TCG's heavenly story to picture the absence of security under judgment. Its movement recalls the helplessness of rebellion before the returning King. The scriptural reference gives the moral setting for that image: Isaiah's contrast between the peace God gives and the unrest of the wicked.

Within the Stars Age, the hare appears in the portion of the story surrounding Christ's return and the judgment that follows the tribulation. The nations may resist His authority, gather against His purpose, and appear powerful for a season, but none can escape when Jesus comes in glory. Rebellion has no refuge before the rightful Ruler of the earth.

Isaiah 57:21 — “There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.”

Isaiah 57 compares the wicked with a troubled sea that can't rest. The hare's flight carries that unrest into the heavenly story, where rebellion has no settled refuge from the King. God's promise of peace to the contrite makes the contrast personal as well as prophetic. The believer's assurance rests in Christ's finished work, and His peace gives a troubled heart somewhere sure to rest.

When Jesus first came, He humbled Himself and allowed sinners to reject and crucify Him. When He returns, He will appear openly with power and great glory. Every eye will see Him, every false refuge will fail, and the nations will discover that the rejected Savior is also the appointed Judge of all the earth.

The church doesn't flee from His appearing as the condemned world will. Jesus already bore our sins, fulfilled the law on our behalf, and delivered us from the wrath to come. We aren't under condemnation, but hidden in Christ, clothed in His righteousness and awaiting the return of the One who purchased us with His blood.

Evasive Hare Bible TCG Strategy

Evasive Hare is a simple early-Game Being that gives you mobility and survival. With 3 Hope, it can take more Damage than many small Beings, and with 3 Move, it can reposition across the Storyline more easily. Even without an Ability, Evasive Hare can help you Block, set up Challenges, and protect your Storyline while you build toward stronger Plays.

Synergies

  • Early Defense: Evasive Hare can help slow down aggressive openings by occupying a Slot and taking early Damage.

  • Mobility: With 3 Move, Evasive Hare can shift across the Storyline to Block, avoid danger, or line up a better Challenge.

  • Stat Support: Rise Up And Walk can Give Evasive Hare extra Strength and Hope. The Strength helps its Challenges, while the Hope increases how much Damage it can withstand without removing existing Damage.

Questions and Answers

Q: Evasive Hare wants to Move two Slots away, but one Friendly Being stands in the Slot between. Can its 3 Move make the trip?

A: Yes. Moving two Slots costs 2 Move, and passing through the Friendly Being costs 1 additional Move, using all 3 of Evasive Hare's Move.

Q: Can Evasive Hare end its Move in a Slot occupied by another Friendly Being?

A: No. A Being may pass through Friendly Beings by paying the additional Move Cost, but its destination must be an open Slot.

Q: If Evasive Hare Moves into a better lane, can it Challenge from there during the same Turn?

A: Not normally. Move is its Interaction for that Turn, so it must usually wait until a later Turn to Challenge from the new position.

Q: Why can 3 Move be valuable on a Being with only 1 Reach?

A: Evasive Hare's short Reach makes its position especially important. Its high Move lets you shift it toward the lane you want to Block or toward an Enemy Being you want directly in front of it on a later Turn.

Q: What does Humble do to an unmodified Evasive Hare?

A: Very little. It has no printed Ability to Cancel, and Humble doesn't remove its Printed Stats. Humble becomes more useful against it if another effect has directly given it Strength, Hope, or an Ability.
