Genesis Set Card 72/250
Generational Strife is an Uncommon Event from the Hebrew Age, costing 6 Faith. It deals 3 Damage to all Enemy Beings and Gives them Fear.
The Bible Story Behind Generational Strife
Before Ishmael was born, the angel of the LORD told Hagar that her son would become a wild man whose life would be marked by conflict. His hand would be against every man, and every man's hand against him. Though he would dwell near his brethren, nearness alone wouldn't produce peace between them.
Ishmael was Abraham's son according to the flesh, but he wasn't the heir through whom God had promised to establish His covenant. Isaac would later be born through Sarah according to the word of the LORD. Generational Strife therefore presents conflict growing from human effort, divided inheritance, and the resistance of the flesh against God's appointed promise.
Genesis 16:12 — “And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”

The prophecy describes Ishmael's life and relationships within the patriarchal story. God also promised Hagar descendants and later preserved her son. This passage shouldn't be used as a judgment upon every modern person claimed to descend from Ishmael or as an explanation of all present conflicts; its subject remains the man and promise before Hagar.
The apostle Paul later used Ishmael and Isaac as an allegory of the flesh and the promise, bondage and liberty. Ishmael was born through human planning, while Isaac came after natural strength had failed and God fulfilled His word. In the same way, righteousness can't be produced through the flesh or the works of the law; it must be received through faith.
Jesus Christ is the true seed of Abraham through whom blessing comes to the nations. He fulfilled the law, bore its curse upon the cross, and rose again so that believing Jews and Gentiles could be made one body. The church isn't united by ancestry or human effort, but by the peace Christ made through the blood of His cross.

Generational Strife Bible TCG Strategy
Generational Strife is a powerful control Event that Damages the entire Enemy Storyline while preventing each surviving Enemy Being from Interacting through the end of that Being's Owner's next Turn. This makes it excellent when your Opponent has several Enemy Beings on the Storyline. The Damage can Exile weaker Beings, while Fear can shut down anything that survives.
Synergies
Wide Storyline Control: Generational Strife Damages all Enemy Beings at once.
Fear Lockdown: Each surviving affected Enemy Being can't Interact through the end of its Owner's next Turn.
Pray Synergy: Since Generational Strife is an Event that deals Damage, Beings with Pray can increase its Damage.
