Genesis Set Card 150/250
Jesus, Son Of God is a Holy Rare Lord Being from the Gospel Age, costing 7 Faith with 7 Strength, 7 Hope, 5 Reach, and 7 Move. He has Eternal, meaning he can't take Damage.
The Bible Story Behind Jesus, Son Of God
Jesus Christ didn't begin His existence in Bethlehem. He is the eternal Word who was with God and was God, through whom all things were made. The Creator entered His own creation, took upon Himself true humanity, and dwelt among Israel full of grace and truth.
From His humble birth to the completion of His earthly ministry, Jesus revealed the character and authority of the Father. He healed the sick, opened blind eyes, commanded storms, cast out devils, forgave sins, and raised the dead. Jesus, Son Of God therefore presents the promised Messiah proving through His words and works that He was far more than a prophet or teacher.
John 3:16 — “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Jesus spoke these words while explaining salvation to Nicodemus. God's love was showed by giving His unique and beloved Son, not because the world had earned Him, but because sinful mankind couldn't save itself. Everlasting life is received by believing in Jesus Christ rather than through religious position, human merit, or the works of the law.
The Son of God moved willingly from Bethlehem toward Calvary, knowing the suffering that awaited Him. At the cross, He bore our sins in His own body, shed His blood, and received the judgment we deserved. The Father gave His Son, and the Son freely gave Himself so that condemned sinners could be forgiven and reconciled to God.
Jesus was buried, but on the third day He rose bodily from the grave. His resurrection proved that His sacrifice had been accepted, sin's payment completed, and death defeated. The risen Son now sits at the right hand of God as Lord over all, the living Head of His church, and the giver of everlasting life to everyone who believes.
5.6.27 - Conclusion
The miracles revealed the authority of Jesus, while the cross and resurrection accomplished the saving work for which He came. His earthly rejection didn't remove His kingship, and death couldn't retain Him. The risen Savior is the One in whom sinners receive life and believers find lasting assurance.
## Chapter 7: Church: The gospel and life in Christ
5.7.1 - Introduction
Church follows the apostolic witness as the gospel moves from Jerusalem into the nations and the mystery of one body in Christ is revealed. Bible TCG understands that completed body to include all the saved from Adam through the final believer before the rapture. Earlier believers didn't know that revealed identity during their earthly lives; after Christ's resurrection and His leading captivity captive, they belong to Him in heaven. The earthly mission in Acts and the later explanation of the mystery should therefore be described as revelation and development, rather than as God's first Act of saving anyone.

Questions and Answers
Q: What happens if Jesus Challenges a Being with Unclean?
A: Jesus can't take the Challenge Damage because of Eternal. Since Unclean requires that Being to actually Damage him, Unclean doesn't Exile Jesus from that prevented Damage.
Q: Can Goliath's Taunts set Jesus's Hope to 1 even though he has Eternal?
A: Yes. Eternal prevents Damage, not set effects. His Hope can be Set to 1 while Eternal continues preventing Damage from reducing that Hope.
Q: What changes if Jesus is Humbled after his Hope has been Set to 1?
A: Humble cancels Eternal and removes the set-to-1 Hope modifier. With no Damage or external Hope effects, Jesus returns to his Printed Hope in full. Humble itself doesn't heal Damage; Setting Hope removed earlier Damage, and any later Damage would remain.
Q: Can Slew In Egypt or another direct Exile effect remove Jesus without first Humbling Eternal?
A: Yes. Eternal only prevents Damage. Direct Exile doesn't need to Damage him at all.

Q: Why is Humble one of the most important answers to Jesus even when it doesn't remove him immediately?
A: Humble cancels Eternal, changing him from a Being that can't take Damage into one that can once again be defeated through normal Damage and Challenges.
4.6.27 - Conclusion
Gospel gives you tools to preserve a Storyline and regain useful options. Its cards also make the difference between Damage, Hope bonuses, Restore, and Humble easier to see. Church builds on those distinctions with Beings whose Patience depends on Damage remaining.
## Chapter 7: Church: Find strength through Damage
4.7.1 - Introduction
Church rewards Beings that survive Damage and keep contributing. Patience can provide Strength or other Keywords while Damage remains, and Abundance can make a surviving Being more dangerous through repeated Challenges. Anointing, direct buffs, and Restoration give you ways to manage the risks.
The amount and timing of Damage matter. A Patience bonus is continuous, so taking another hit doesn't add the same bonus again. Removing the last Damage Counter turns it off. As you read, look for ways to keep a Being alive while preserving the condition that makes its Ability useful.
