The Bible Story Behind Keys Of Hell And Death
While exiled upon the island of Patmos, John heard a great voice behind him and turned to see the glorified Jesus Christ. The Lord's appearance was overwhelming: His eyes were as a flame of fire, His voice sounded like many waters, and His countenance shone like the sun. The disciple who had once rested beside Jesus now fell at His feet as dead before the majesty of the risen Son of God.
Jesus placed His right hand upon John and told him not to fear. He identified Himself as the first and the last, the One who had truly died but now lives beyond the reach of death. Keys Of Hell And Death therefore presents the crucified Savior revealed in heavenly glory with complete authority over death and the realm of the dead.
