The Bible Story Behind Last Supper Lamb
On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus gathered His disciples in an upper room to observe the Passover. The meal remembered how God had delivered Israel from Egypt when the blood of an unblemished lamb protected each believing household from judgment. Every Passover lamb had pointed forward to the greater deliverance Jesus was about to accomplish.
Jesus knew betrayal, arrest, suffering, and death were only hours away, yet He deeply desired this final meal with His disciples. Last Supper Lamb therefore presents the true Lamb of God seated among His followers and preparing them to understand the sacrifice He would willingly make for them.
