Rambunctious Ram is a Common Cattle Being from the Church Age, costing 2 Faith with 0 Strength, 3 Hope, 1 Reach, and 1 Move. It has Patience: +3 Strength, which activates while it's damaged.

The Bible Story Behind Rambunctious Ram

Isaiah foretold that the Messiah would be oppressed and afflicted without defending Himself against those who led Him toward death. Jesus possessed complete authority to silence His accusers or call heavenly armies to His defense, yet He willingly submitted because the cross was the purpose for which He had come.

This prophecy was fulfilled throughout the trials of Jesus before the Jewish rulers, Herod, and Pilate. False witnesses accused Him, soldiers mocked Him, and rulers questioned Him, but He didn't struggle to preserve His own life. Rambunctious Ram therefore presents perfect strength restrained beneath suffering as the Lamb of God moved steadily toward His appointed sacrifice.

Isaiah 53:7 — “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.”

Christ's silence wasn't fear, helplessness, or agreement with the false charges against Him. He remained quiet because He was willingly taking the place of guilty sinners and fulfilling the Scriptures concerning His death. The One who could have judged His enemies immediately instead allowed Himself to be judged so that His people could receive mercy.

The apostolic letters direct believers back to the patient suffering of Jesus as the perfect example of righteous endurance. When He was reviled, He didn't answer with reviling, and when He suffered, He didn't threaten. He committed Himself to the Father and bore our sins in His own body upon the tree.

The church isn't saved by imitating Christ's silence or suffering enough for God. We're saved because Jesus alone completed the sacrifice, was buried, and rose again. Yet His Spirit now enables believers to endure opposition without returning evil for evil, trusting that the Lord will judge righteously and complete His purpose through every trial.

Rambunctious Ram Bible TCG Strategy

Rambunctious Ram is a defensive Cattle that becomes much stronger while damaged. At full Hope, it has 0 Strength, but once it's damaged, Patience Gives it +3 Strength. This makes Rambunctious Ram useful with effects that can Damage your own Beings, or in situations where your Opponent Damages it and turns it into a stronger threat.

Synergies

  • Patience activation: Rambunctious Ram gains +3 Strength while it's damaged.

  • Self-Damage setup: Events that Damage Target Being can activate Rambunctious Ram's Patience.

  • Cattle synergy: Rambunctious Ram works well in Decks that care about Cattle or damaged Beings.

Questions and Answers

Q: Can Stephen, Stoned Martyr activate Rambunctious Ram's Patience?

A: Yes. Stephen can deal 1 Damage to another Friendly Being and Give it +2 Strength. Rambunctious Ram then has +3 from Patience and +2 from Stephen, reaching 5 Strength.

Q: What happens if Rambunctious Ram is then fully Restored?

A: Patience turns off, so the +3 Strength disappears. Stephen's separate +2 Strength remains.

Q: Does Giving Rambunctious Ram extra Hope turn off Patience?

A: No. Giving Hope doesn't remove Damage. As long as Ram remains damaged, Patience stays active.

Q: Can Rise Up And Walk make an already damaged Ram even stronger without disabling Patience?

A: Yes. It Gives +2 Strength and +2 Hope while leaving the Damage in place, so Patience continues applying.

Q: What happens if Rambunctious Ram is Humbled while damaged?

A: Patience is canceled, so it loses the +3 Strength even though it remains damaged.
