Genesis Set Card 189/250

Red Horse Rider is a Common Spirit Being from the Wrath Age, costing 4 Faith with 6 Strength, 6 Hope, 1 Reach, and 1 Move. Its Prophecy Ability makes Target Opponent gain 5 points.

The Bible Story Behind Red Horse Rider

When the Lamb opens the second seal, a rider comes forth upon a red horse. He is given power to remove peace from the earth so that people turn violently against one another. Red Horse Rider presents the collapse of human order during the opening judgments of the wrath Age.

The rider carries a great sword, showing that war, bloodshed, and civil violence will spread far beyond one isolated battlefield. Nations will fight nations, but the verse also describes people killing one another, revealing conflict within societies as fear and hatred overwhelm restraint. The peace mankind attempted to preserve without submission to God will rapidly disappear.

Revelation 6:4 — “And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”

The rider doesn't seize authority independently, for power is given to him when the Lamb opens the seal. His great sword will become an instrument through which judgment spreads across the earth, preparing the way for famine, death, and greater tribulation. Every conflict will remain beneath the authority of Jesus Christ, even while rebellious nations destroy one another.

The red horse follows the opening of the first seal, when a conquering rider advances with the appearance of victory. Any peace produced by the coming world ruler will prove temporary and deceptive. The Antichrist may promise stability, but a kingdom founded upon rebellion against God can only produce violence and destruction.

Jesus Christ alone is the Prince of Peace because He first made peace through the blood of His cross. He died for our sins, rose again, and reconciles believers to God before He returns to judge the nations. When Christ appears at Armageddon, He will end the beast's wars and establish the righteous kingdom that human rulers could never produce.

Red Horse Rider Bible TCG Strategy

Red Horse Rider gives huge Stats for its Cost, but it has a serious drawback. When it's Created, Target Opponent gains 5 points, bringing that Opponent closer to winning. Because of this, Red Horse Rider is strongest in aggressive Decks that can use its 6 Strength and 6 Hope to apply major Storyline pressure and overcome the point gain it gives the Opponent.

Synergies

  • Huge Stats: Red Horse Rider gives 6 Strength and 6 Hope for only 4 Faith.

  • Prophecy reuse: Signs And Wonders can Return a legal Friendly Red Horse Rider to its Owner's Hand. Playing it again later Creates a new Being and records a new Prophecy.

  • Aggressive pressure: If your Deck can pressure quickly, Red Horse Rider's Stats may be worth the Opponent's point gain.

Questions and Answers

Q: How dangerous is Red Horse Rider if my Opponent is already at 15 Bible Points?

A: Its Prophecy brings them directly to 20 points, so Playing it can immediately lose the Game for you.

Q: Why is Red Horse Rider's drawback more severe than Evil Locust's?

A: Red Horse Rider hands the Opponent 5 points at once rather than 3, so its massive Stats require even more careful timing.

Q: Does Humbling Red Horse Rider after Creation take those 5 points back?

A: No. Its Prophecy already resolved.

Q: Can Mark Of The Beast turn Red Horse Rider into an enormous one-Turn threat?

A: Yes. It becomes 9 Strength and 9 Hope before being Exiled at your End of Turn.

Q: What is the limitation of that plan despite Red Horse Rider's 9 Strength?

A: Red Horse Rider doesn't have Zeal, so if it was Created that same Turn, it normally can't Challenge immediately just because Mark Of The Beast made it stronger.
