The Bible Story Behind Release Barabbas
During the Passover feast, Pilate followed a custom of releasing one prisoner chosen by the people. Before the crowd stood Jesus, whom Pilate repeatedly declared innocent, and Barabbas, a notorious prisoner involved in rebellion and murder. One man deserved judgment, while the other had committed no offense worthy of punishment.
Pilate expected the people to request the release of Jesus, but the chief priests and rulers persuaded them to choose Barabbas instead. The crowd demanded that the guilty prisoner be freed and that Jesus be crucified. Release Barabbas therefore presents a condemned man walking free because the innocent Son of God was delivered to death.
Luke 23:18 — “And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:”
Barabbas received freedom without paying the penalty for his own crimes, while Jesus was scourged and led toward the cross. Scripture doesn't tell us how Barabbas responded, but the exchange provides a striking picture of substitution: the guilty was released while the righteous One willingly occupied the place of condemnation.
Every descendant of Adam stands guilty before God, unable to erase sin through works, religion, or personal reform. Jesus alone was completely innocent, having fulfilled the law without sin. Yet the righteous Son willingly bore the judgment belonging to guilty men and women.
At Calvary, Christ carried our sins in His own body and suffered the death we deserved. He was buried and rose again the third day, proving that the payment had been accepted and death defeated. Everyone who trusts His blood and finished work is released from condemnation and clothed in His perfect righteousness.

A: No. Its requirement is based on Strength. A Being with 20 Hope can still be directly Exiled if its Current Strength is 3 or less.
