The Bible Story Behind Rise To The Top
Esther was a Jewish orphan raised by Mordecai in the Persian Empire. She entered the royal household through the search for a new queen and received favor before Ahasuerus. Her position eventually gave her access to the king when Haman's decree threatened the Jewish people, turning a place of personal honor into a moment of danger and responsibility.
When Haman obtained authority to destroy the Jews throughout the Persian Empire, Esther suddenly faced the purpose behind her position. Approaching the king without being summoned could bring death, but remaining silent wouldn't guarantee her safety. Rise To The Top therefore presents a woman raised into influence and then called to risk that position for the preservation of her people.
Esther 4:14 — “[...] and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Mordecai reminded Esther that deliverance for the Jews didn't depend entirely upon her, because God's covenant purpose couldn't be destroyed by Haman's decree. Yet Esther remained responsible for the opportunity placed before her. Her royal position wasn't merely a personal blessing, but a stewardship through which she could serve the people God had appointed to preserve.
Esther approached an earthly throne at the risk of her own life, but Jesus Christ came from the highest glory and willingly entered death to save His people. He didn't merely place His position in danger; He humbled Himself, took upon Him the form of a servant, and gave His life upon the cross for sinners.
After bearing our sins and fulfilling the law, Jesus rose from the dead and was exalted at the right hand of God. He now intercedes for the church with an authority no earthly queen could possess. Our Deliverer doesn't plead before an uncertain king, because He Himself is the risen Lord whose sacrifice has already secured our acceptance.

Rise To The Top is a strong Hope Restoration Event that can keep an important Being on the Storyline. Restoring 5 Hope can save a damaged Being, help it survive future Challenges, or keep a key support Being active longer. Because it Targets any Being, it can Target a Friendly Being or an Enemy Being. Most of the time, you'll use it on a Friendly Being you want to preserve.

Q: Can I use Rise To The Top on an Enemy Being with patience to make it weaker?
A: Potentially. If Rise To The Top removes all of that Being's Damage, it's no longer damaged and its Patience stops applying.
Q: If a Being has 2 Damage, what does Restore 5 Hope actually do?
A: It removes the 2 Damage that exists. The unused 3 Restoration doesn't become extra Hope.
Q: Does Rise To The Top remove Strength or Hope modifiers?
A: No. Restore removes Damage. It doesn't undo buffs, debuffs, or set effects.
Q: Can Rise To The Top save a Being whose Current Hope has already reached 0 or less?
A: No. Once the relevant check causes that Being to be Exiled, you can't Restore it afterward as though it were still on the Storyline.
Q: What happens if I Restore Jonah after he has survived several Damage instances?
A: You can remove his accumulated Damage and help him stay alive for future Damage-to-Draw triggers. The Draws he already earned are unaffected.
