Genesis Set Card 58/250
Sacred Turtledove is a Rare Fowl Being from the Hebrew Age, costing 2 Faith with 2 Strength, 1 Hope, 1 Reach, and 3 Move. Its Prophecy Ability lets you Draw a Verse when it's Created.
The Bible Story Behind Sacred Turtledove
Throughout Scripture, the turtledove appears as a gentle and humble bird, often connected with sacrifice, devotion, and the poor who desired to approach God. Those who couldn't afford a lamb were permitted under the law to bring turtledoves or young pigeons, showing that the LORD made provision for every person within Israel, regardless of earthly wealth.
In the Psalms, the turtledove becomes a picture of God's vulnerable and afflicted people surrounded by enemies. They may appear small, defenseless, and easily overcome, yet they belong to the LORD. Sacred Turtledove represents a people whose safety doesn't rest upon their own strength, but upon the faithfulness of the God who remembers His covenant.
Psalm 74:19 — “O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.”

The prayer joins the turtledove with the congregation of God's poor. They're oppressed by the wicked and unable to preserve themselves, so they appeal to the LORD to remember and defend them. The verse reveals that God doesn't measure the value of His people by their power, riches, or position, but remembers those who belong to Him.
Jesus entered the world in humility and was presented at the temple with turtledoves or pigeons, the offering permitted for a poor household. Though He was the Lord of glory, He made Himself poor and dwelt among the lowly, identifying with those who possessed nothing by which they could exalt themselves before God.
Christ later became the perfect sacrifice to which every humble offering had pointed. He was surrounded by wicked men, rejected, and delivered to death, yet the Father didn't leave Him in the grave. Jesus rose again, and through His blood the church has been redeemed, remembered, and brought near to God entirely by grace.

Sacred Turtledove Bible TCG Strategy
Sacred Turtledove gives you immediate value when it enters the Storyline. Its Prophecy Ability lets you Draw a Verse, helping replace itself in your Hand while still adding a Being to the Storyline. This makes Sacred Turtledove useful in Decks that want consistency, Fowl synergy, or early pressure without losing too much Hand advantage.
If Moses, Law Of God reduces this Being to 0 Hope on Creation, record its Prophecy, then Exile it at the Creation Checkpoint. Its queued Draw still resolves if the Game continues because the Draw doesn't require its source to remain.

Questions and Answers
Q: What happens if I Return Sacred Turtledove to my Hand and Play it again?
A: It's Created again, so Prophecy activates again and you Draw another Verse. This is why Return effects such as Signs And Wonders or Levite Priest can turn Creation-triggered Abilities into reusable value.
Q: What happens if I control Royal Elephant when Sacred Turtledove's Prophecy makes me Draw?
A: Royal Elephant can activate from that Draw and Exile four Verses from the top of Target Opponent's Bible.
Q: Can Sacred Turtledove's Prophecy make me lose the Game if my Bible is empty?
A: Yes. The Draw is still required. If your Bible is empty when Sacred Turtledove's Prophecy requires you to Draw, you lose the Game.
Q: If Raphael is on the Storyline and Sacred Turtledove was the one Verse I Played from my Hand this Turn, can I Play the Verse I just Drew?
A: Not from your Hand that Turn. Raphael's limit still applies even though Sacred Turtledove gave you another card to choose from.

Q: If Sacred Turtledove is Exiled immediately after its Prophecy resolves, do I lose the Verse I Drew?
A: No. The Draw already finished resolving. Removing Sacred Turtledove afterward doesn't reverse its completed Prophecy.
