The Bible Story Behind Under The Law
Jesus was born into the nation of Israel and lived beneath the law of Moses. He was circumcised, attended Israel's feasts, worshiped in the synagogues, and obeyed every commandment without sin. The gospel narratives show the promised Messiah entering Israel's covenant history and fulfilling everything written concerning Him.
During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus corrected anyone who thought His teaching opposed Moses or the prophets. He didn't come to discard God's earlier revelation, but to bring it to its intended completion. Under The Law therefore presents the sinless Son standing beneath the law's full standard and accomplishing what no other Israelite could accomplish.
Matthew 5:17 — “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”
Jesus fulfilled the law through perfect obedience, fulfilled its sacrifices through His death, and fulfilled the prophets through the events of His life and ministry. He also revealed that the law addressed more than outward behavior, exposing hatred, lust, hypocrisy, and self-righteousness within the heart. The standard remained holy, but sinful mankind remained unable to satisfy it apart from Christ.
The law could identify sin and pronounce judgment, but it couldn't make a guilty sinner righteous. Jesus alone met every demand before offering Himself upon the cross. The One who owed the law nothing willingly bore its curse for everyone who would believe in Him.
Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Christ established the new testament in His blood and completed the work required for salvation. The church doesn't approach God through Israel's sacrifices, ceremonies, dietary laws, or covenant works. We're justified freely by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, whose righteousness is counted to everyone who believes.

Because Under The Law affects all Enemy Beings and doesn't Target, it can also Humble Enemy Beings with Darkness before they Interact.

Q: Why is Under The Law especially strong before a large Damage Event?
A: It can cancel defensive Abilities such as Eternal and Anointing across the Enemy Storyline before you deal the later Damage.
Q: What happens if my Opponent controls several passive support Beings such as Lost Lamb and Hungry Cattle?
A: Under The Law Humbles those sources, canceling their ongoing Abilities and causing the bonuses they were supplying to stop applying.
Q: Can Under The Law disable Resurrect before I Exile the Enemy Beings?
A: Yes. If their Resurrect Abilities are canceled before they are Exiled, those Abilities don't trigger.
Q: Does Under The Law remove a Stat that was set to a specific value by another effect?
A: Yes. Humble removes the affected Being's Set modifier along with its other direct Strength and Hope modifiers. Use Printed Stats, remaining Damage, and applicable external continuous effects afterward. Setting Hope already removed all earlier Damage; Humble doesn't remove any Damage taken since that set.
Q: Can Under The Law affect a whole Storyline of Beings protected by Darkness?
A: Yes. It doesn't Target them individually, so Darkness doesn't prevent the mass Humble.
