The Bible Story Behind Young Lion
Samson traveled with his father and mother toward Timnath, where he intended to take a Philistine woman for his wife. As they approached the vineyards, a young lion suddenly came roaring against him. The attack appeared without warning and placed Samson face to face with a creature far stronger than an unarmed man.
The Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon Samson, enabling him to tear the lion apart with his bare hands. Samson didn't tell his father or mother what he had done. Young Lion therefore presents a violent enemy being reduced to weakness through strength supplied entirely by the Spirit of God.
Judges 14:5 — “Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.”
The lion's roar announced danger, but it didn't determine the outcome. Samson possessed no weapon and couldn't have defeated the beast through ordinary human strength. The enemy appeared powerful until the Spirit of the LORD came upon the man God had appointed to begin delivering Israel from the Philistines.
The roaring lion provides a fitting picture of the devil, who seeks to devour and destroy. Jesus Christ entered the wilderness and faced the tempter directly, yet He never yielded to deception or sin. The enemy who overcame mankind repeatedly found no corruption or weakness within the obedient Son of God.
At the cross, Jesus allowed the powers of darkness to surround Him, but their apparent triumph became their defeat. Christ bore our sins, fulfilled the law, and rose again from the dead, breaking the authority of the one who held mankind beneath the fear of death. The roar remained loud, but the risen Savior stripped it of every eternal claim against those who believe.

Young Lion is a useful disruption Being. When it's Created, it can weaken a dangerous Enemy Being by setting its Strength to 1. This can make a large Enemy Being much safer to Challenge, reduce incoming pressure, or stop a high-Strength threat from dominating the Storyline.

A: Yes. Return Young Lion to your Hand, then Play and Create it again later. Its Prophecy triggers again and can choose a new legal Enemy Being.
Q: If Young Lion sets a Being's Strength to 1, can a later +Strength effect improve that Being?
A: Yes. A later +2 Strength grant makes the underlying Strength 3 after a Set to 1; external continuous effects still apply. A later set clears earlier direct Strength changes. Humbling the affected receiver removes its Set modifier, whereas Humbling Young Lion doesn't undo the completed Prophecy.
Q: Does Young Lion's Prophecy make a high-Strength Enemy less dangerous immediately?
A: Yes. As soon as the Ability resolves, use its resulting Strength for future Challenges and direct Challenge Damage.
Q: Can Young Lion safely Challenge the weakened Being immediately after being Created?
A: Not normally. Young Lion doesn't have Zeal, so Creating it and resolving Prophecy doesn't let it Challenge immediately.
Q: Can Humbling Young Lion afterward undo the Strength set?
A: No. Its Prophecy already finished resolving. Humbling Young Lion doesn't reverse the completed effect.
