A Sign from Heaven That Changed Everything
Virgin Birth is a Common Event from the Stars Age, costing 3 faith. It uses Discern to let you choose between giving a target friendly Being +3 strength or +3 hope and Protect, providing powerful versatility depending on your board state.
The Promise Foretold, Born of a Virgin
The stars begin their story with a miracle: a virgin giving birth. This is one of the first sign in the heavens, a radiant declaration that God would enter the world through miraculous conception. The constellation of the Virgin proclaims what the prophets echoed: “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” – Isaiah 7:14. From the heavens to the scrolls, God was preparing the world for the arrival of His Son.
This card's verse is Isaiah 7:14:
"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."
This is the start of the story, it’s the foundation of our faith. Jesus came as both God and man, born without sin, and without the will of flesh. He was the only begotten of the Father, filled with grace and truth. “The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...” – John 1:14. His arrival was the plan all along, foretold in every shadow and symbol from Eden to Bethlehem.
God revealed this promise through prophecy and picture, through scripture and star. From Sarah to Rebekah to Hannah, He hinted again and again at a holy birth, one that would deliver a Deliverer. Then, in the fullness of time, Mary conceived by the Holy Ghost, fulfilling every promise. “When the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law...” – Galatians 4:4.

The Word Became Flesh, Christ Our Salvation
Jesus came into the world just as promised. He fulfilled every law, every prophecy, every heavenly marker written above and preserved below. His nature was divine, and His mission was mercy. Born in humility, He would be lifted in glory. Born of a woman, He would reign forever. This is Immanuel, which means God with us.
This divine birth means our offering was sure. No blemish, no fault, no inheritance of Adam’s sin followed Him. The Lamb was pure. He could redeem fully because He came perfectly. “For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners...” – Hebrews 7:26. From birth to cross, His life poured out grace, and that grace overflows still.
Believers, take joy in the stars and in the scriptures. The One who came miraculously now lives in you. His first coming fulfilled every promise of God’s mercy. And the next time He appears, He’ll come in glory for all who believe. Rejoice in the Child who was given, and rest in the salvation He accomplished at the cross.
